Very accommodating people ! we booked an hotel room, but when we saw the cottages, we asked to change and there was no problem ! the place is centrally located for all activities. food at night is reasonably priced and the chef accommodates for every diet, even Vegan . the place is clean and service is very good

I think it is a bit expensive for what you get. no breakfast etc and at R850 per night self catering its not up to scratch. Quaint but not living up to its promise. Bath water was brown, no shower. OK but.....

Thank you for taking the time to write a review to us. As far as the breakfast is concerned, please can you give me some more information. We're a running hotel and have breakfast running every morning between 08:00 - 10:00am .... I checked our records and see that there were a number of people in the diningroom. I am...

Not only is Hogsback an absolutely amazing place to visit, but a stay at King's Lodge just makes things even better. We had a lovely, cozy cottage to stay in, fully equipped with extras such as a fireplace, with comfortable beds and convenient parking right in front of our place. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us, even...

We made a reservation at this Hotel for our road trip (holiday) in December 2016. Don't get fooled by pictures. It was the most expensive accommodation for the trip. We stayed in 7 different places. The rooms where smelly (sewerage) and old water. The fully equipped bar could not give us something like an Irish coffee. The bedding and towels...

Dear Arrie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review; the contents of which have been noted. I am sorry your experience in Hogsback was not up to your standard. New linen and towels (both stone in colour) were purchased less than 3 months ago so am a little concerned as to what linen you refer too. I...

I chose this hotel because it had a pool and we were very pleased as the weather was hot while we were there. Hogsback is also small enough that you can do some activities and go back for a swim then do some more. We stayed in one of the self catering cottages which was well equipped, including a place...

We had a super stay in the self catering cottages. The staff are helpful and friendly. Cottages are spacious, clean and serviced daily. Lovely gardens. Easy to walk to the restaurants and hiking trails. Good value for money.

My wife and I often vsit Kings Lodge in Hogsback. We are never disappointed with the value for money, level of service and overall friendliness of the staff. The comfortable accommodation always feels like coming home and the essence of the establishment exudes the true magical spirit of Hogsback. Kings Lodge is highly recommended by us. Stayed overnight and had a great experience: friendly and accommodating staff; lovely, clean room; beautiful gardens; good breakfast. Though I stayed in a room there are also cottages available, which look quaint and lovely.

Rooms are kind of sound proof so you don't hear another's television, snoring or anything. The services are excellent, friendly and the bar is not as expensive as you imagined. Rooms are cheap for overnight stay. Game room available. A clean and most beautiful envoirement.

The outstanding feature of this hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Belinda, Siya, Adam and Lance were fantastic. I was travelling alone so it was wonderful to feel so welcome and part of the Kings Lodge 'family'. Can't recommend Adam's home made beanburger too highly!
