Visited the Edge whilst staying st Hogsback. Well worth the scary road journey-puts the term potholes into context! You don't need a 4x4 but careful driving. Walk out to the labyrinth and to the Edge viewpoint for an amazing view over the valley and the road you will have driven up to Hogsback. Super luxury holiday rental cottages on site-beautiful...

A beautiful setting in the Amathole Moutains. Little peace of heaven on the earth. Great place to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. (Come back to that). Hogsback town is very quaint and small. Main attraction is the hiking. And the beautiful views. We had to split our accomodation between Over the Edge and Daedelus shelter. As the accomdation was...

We had the coconut fish and lamb rack - the food was truly excellent, and the portions generous. The setting is beautiful, with amazing views and a cosy fireplace for colder nights. The service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommend.

We had two nights stay in Hogsback and as we were not in a rush we decided upon this establishment after recommendation from friends. We state we were not in a rush as we heard that the restaurant service was not the fastest in Southern Africa. And that ( and as we see from other reviews) was our experience. We...

I stayed at the Edge with my family in July 2016. We booked online and arrived in the afternoon but the room was still not ready so we had a walk around the Labyrinth while we waited. We stayed in the Star Gazer cottage. Lovely large cottage, clean and has all the basic things you might need but we wanted...

The standard of the accommodation is good. The self catering units have everything you need. I had to urgently print out a contract and sign and scan it in to resend. The staff was extremely helpful with this. Dinner at the restaurant was great. The only draw back was, it is not within walking distance form the center of town.

Quiet and peaceful place high up in the mountain. Bohemian atmosphere with lovely walks in the surrounding forests. For a place to get away from modern madness, this is it. Lovely gardens in the little village of Hogsback.

We stayed at Chestnut Cottage for 3 nights. Luckily I called the office months before to ask about the security of the edge for the sake of the kids and Kare recommended we stay at the Chestnut as the cottages are fenced in. Thanks for that. The edge is probably one of the most beautful drops I have seen but...
