Have just stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Fabulous room, great breakfast options which are very generous portions. Excellent friendly and helpful staff and service. We also had a free wine tour here with our stay- which was our favourite tour amongst the ones we did on this

We had eight wonderful days at Poggio Al Casone. From the moment we arrived it far exceeded our expectations. Driving up the long tree lined drive we arrived at the fabulous development made up of individual villas and apartments. Our apartment was part of the main villa

Stayed there a week with Kids aged 5 and 7. Had the rose apartement, Which is based in a «halfcellar», but still Nice. Clean and luxurious apartement. The resort is beautiful. The pool area beautiful and perfekt for kids our age. A bit pricey, especially the wine you can buy.

We and 5 other familys found this great place, celebrating our summer holiday. From start to the end, it was great. Beautiful location, the apartment was really nice and Michaela did a outstanding job as the hostess of Poggio al Casone. We will be back!

The location is a 100 acre vineyard property just a kilometer or two from a small town between Pisa and Florence. It is not "out in the country", but it seems that when when you are on the property. From your apartment, or anywhere on the property you see the rolling hills of the vineyards. The drive up to the property through the long tree-lined drive looks something something out of a movie scene. You are permitted to walk or ride a bike through the property. For us, the location was the best of both worlds, it was out in the country, yet close to services like grocery, pharmacy, banking, etc. We rented a car and made day trips to Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena. So being 10 to 15 minutes from the highway was a real plus. Each night,we came back to our lovely home away from home for a light meal and some wine. All rooms have views of the winery. The building site in the middle of the winery. Some offer nice balconies that offer spectacular views. I do not know the cost of the cooking class as it was built into our weekly cost. The cooking class was held in the apartment with a truly wonderful chef and her assistant. We did this with three other friends also staying on the property. They had a larger villa with a balcony and the lunch we prepared was enjoyed on their balcony overlooking the vineyards. It could not have been better.

is the restaurant open every night in october ?
Dear Hylda, there is not restaurant at Poggio al Casone. We rent a self-catering apartments and the guests like to cook at home, go out at the many good restaurants in the area or book the private Chef for a cooking class. Breakfast is a service available upon request.

You can choose among two types of breakfast. A continental menu at euro 9,00/person/day that includes pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruits, juice, bread and so on. Or the english menu with additon of eggs&bacon for a total of euro 15,00/person/day. You book on place confirming at the Receptionist within the evening before. It's a room service but you can aslo ask to be served on the main terrace. A very good service.

"All rooms are good."
"Don't choose Piazzetta"
"I'm sure any apartment is fine, we had Torre, with spectacular view from the 3rd story terraces"
"All the rooms I saw were lovely. Perhaps an upper floor apartment would provide even better views."
"Apt. Sala, Ulivi and Vigna Bassa. One better than the other! I thinks that just the standard ones front to the pool are simpler and smaller."
