We attended a destination wedding and decided to spend the weekend at Fels Retreat. Paying R450.00 pp per night including breakfast in a superior room. Sarina (Manager - I think) was very friendly and made us feel welcome immediately. However, I will not recommend this place to anyone - even though the place is old and need some work it...

Our group of friends have attended a wedding on a nearby farm, and decided to stay at Fels Retreat over the weekend. We slept over on our way to Mapumalanga and on our way back. Beautiful setting and a most gracious and charming host, Sarena could not do enough for us and cooks the most delicious breakfast and dinner on request. The rooms were comfortable and neat , we would definately re-visit on our next trip. Gilda, Angelo, Karl and Frances.

Only stayed for 1 night, but felt very good! Serina the owner makes you feel really at home. With a great dinner (the best in SA), a nice glass of wine and a good talk, we really thought it was a pity we couldn't stay longer. Tip: Serina's daughter can give you a wonderfull massage.

Thank Daniel Z
