Tuatapere has it all,: Epic hikes, stellar landscapes, remote beaches, incredible food and amazing locals. We stayed at the shooters hostel during our time in town, it was clean, well appointed and we had a blast with the team down there. You've got to meet Elvis, the pet deer!

Stayed for two nights. Great facilities with big clean and well equipped kitchen, free hot showers and a spapool! Very friendly and accommodating owner who introduced us to his two lovely deer, Elvis and Georgia:). Mini golf course on the site that we got to play on for a tiny price. One of the best and most easy going places...

Having turned up weary, wet and in need of a shower we were glad to get a room to ourselves despite it being kitted out for 5 people. Carl the owner was very nice and told us no one else will be booked in with us. We had walked 25km that day and stayed for 3 nights to fully recover....
