We were greeted by the barman who frankly looked and acted like he did not want to be there!
He was abrupt and rude and was not welcoming at all.

All was perfect except the grumpy man that checked us and that apparently online booking should not of offered a discount , breakfasts amazing though , room outstanding , didn't have dinner there as they stopped serving at 7pm on a Sunday
Our room was good quirky with squeaky floorboards adding to atmosphere owners were friendly and helpful , our stopover was after visiting Fountains Abbey and was only a short way to West Tanfield . We are in the pub in the evening all good food...More
