I stayed here with a cycling group in October and was pleasantly surprised by the overall ambiance of the place and the charming history. The meals were some of the best I ate in France. The only thing I felt would be a drawback was need of a bit more soundproofing between the rooms for utter relaxation. That being said...

The hotel is rustic. There is a lobby area, but I never saw anybody hanging around there. There is a dining area for breakfast or dinner (in case of inclement weather), and an outdoor area for dinner. There is an interior courtyard. The staff was friendly and some could speak and understand English. Our room (Micocoulier) was spacious. The bed...

Our first impression as we drove in was of a dusty, neglected, and deserted property. There was no one at reception, in the office, kitchen, and finally we found a cleaning person at work washing the upstairs floor. She had little english, but we understood our room was not ready, for perhaps a half hour, and disappeared leaving us to...

In the never-ending search for the perfect mas or bastide, this one gets a medium degree. Location and house: magnifique. The Provence depicted in many, many films. The room : absolutely standard and almost impersonal. Nothing comparable to other places in Provence, peculiar and romantic. The bathroom : sub-standard. No places to put things on, open shower (not a good...

Arriving to this area is beautiful, surrounded by extraordinary villages hanging from cliffs and the farming and vines. This BnB has a relaxed feel and the owners Penny and Julienne extremely welcoming. The other staff we met, Alexander and Clara also incredibly helpful and everyone speaks English which made things easier for us. Our room was up some stairs and...

We had an excellent stay at the Bastide de Voulonne with our three children. The rooms shared a hallway which made them seem like a little apartment with two bedrooms. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the main sights of Provence all around. It is very tasteful and charming and was just what we had been looking...

Excellent stay, beautiful buildings, professional, friendly and unobtrusive service. Very nice heated pool overlooking lavender field, honesty bar was a clever extra touch. The evening pre-dinner aperitif worked well (at first I thought it would be awkward - it wasn't). Set evening meal was very good and the setting under the trees in the garden was magical. The owner was...

My husband and I stayed at La Baside de Voulonne for two nights and had such a wonderful time! The ground were absolutely beautiful, the staff was very friendly/helpful, and the food was incredible (Some of the best food we had in Europe)! Not to mention, the hotel very close Gorges, Roussillon and other great towns.

I wholeheartedly agree that La Bastide de Voulonne is in an idyllic location. The grounds are beautiful. Our rooms were clean and the pool setting is lovely. We visited in July during a heat wave in Provence. The room our teenagers stayed in was not air conditioned. When we asked if they could be moved to a different room or...
