It's too bad this lodge has such a problem with the religious loudspeakers. The people were very nice and the restaurant is very good by Ethiopian standards. Unfortunately we were there on a Saturday night which is apparently the worst. But obviously it's an ongoing problem because there is an apologetic sign in the tent and they give you ear...

Eco-Omo Lodge - good location to see the tribes. Staff speak Italian. Food is clean and the pasta is yummy -- a nice change from injera! Be prepared for the loud speakers emanating prayers all night. Hot water showers only available for a few hours at night. I would stay here again because I viewed other hotels in the area...

The generator works until 22:30 and when we stayed there were no water in the shower and the...

A la carte options is always available. The deck, outside the restaurant is a very pleasant place for a drink before dinner. Hot water...

So if we are grading this place based on a curve then it was very good. It all depends on what the last place you stayed in was like and if you are taking into account that Ethiopia is not Tanzania, Namibia or even Uganda. The tented rooms are clean and comfortable, our mosquito nets fit around the bed without...
