Lovely Quirky Guesthouse, we were welcomed with a glass of ice cold Bubbly & warm, friendly service. The pumpkin fritters are so good and not to be missed. Good Breakfast (Yoghurt, Muesli & Fruit salad, followed by your choice of Bacon & Eggs, my daughter had the scrambled eggs with Feta, sprinkled with Biltong powder which she Loved) Red Tin...

Cannot rate this place highly enough! Champagne on arrival. Bohemian, eclectic, avaunt guard whatever, the style is just all those and more! Lovely ambiance and the stamp of the owners is just so interesting ie the art work etc. Lovely beds (we had the big cottage), coffe/tea station brilliant! Our steak dinner was expertly cooked and with local red wines,...

We lodged at this local inn for two nights. Honestly, the complaints were the bed was only a double not a queen or king and the shower did not have much pressure. Might have been due to the water shortage. Otherwise, we had a great breakfast, the grounds are quite nice and there are lots of collectibles to enjoy hanging...

Went to Red Tin Roof for my birthday celebration lunch. As i was recommended by a friend to book at Red Tin. The service was non-existing and so was Management. We waited about 2hrs + for our food. Nobody serving drinks or checking on the table. Nobody explaining why the food are taking so long. After the meal, they even...

What a lovely place to stay. I immediately felt welcomed by the friendly staff and locals. Everything was just perfect including the room and the food. I will never stay anywhere else in the area. I hope to visit again very soon.

If the Red Tin Roof had been a girl, she'd have had suitors queuing out the door, down the block, past the police station and the bottle store, probably thinning out towards the turn-off to Riebeek West, five or so kilometres down the road. Her style is witty, colourful and refuses to take itself seriously. It also reflects the heady...

We had our wedding ceremony at the Red Tin Roof under the pagoda, the reception at their restaurant, and we stayed with our family in their accommodation for the entire weekend. The venue was beautiful enough that we did not feel that we had to provide any of our own wedding decorations. The staff were very friendly and consistently went...

We had a sneaky little trip to Riebeek Kasteel and spent the night at the Red Tin Roof. What a special place, full of character and a great vibe! We felt right at home! Owners and staff went well out of their way to take care of us. The town is also really full of exciting things to do from...

Red Tin Roof is a manor house that has been sleeping guests, feeding strangers and quenching thirsts for decades. The new owners gave her a complete facelift and donned her in new colours. They have re-vamped her from head to toe and decorated her with an eclectic mixture of art and collectibles from around the world. ... more   less
