If you are planning a dive in Sodwana Bay, I would recommend steering clear of Coral Divers. This is an amateurish operation where safety and customer service are non-existent. The accommodation is run down and dated. The staff unhelpful and unfriendly - from A-Z it was bad. Now let me get to the more important part. The dive safety standards...

Coral divers is a convenient place to stay when diving at Sodwana. Courtesy transport to the beach and back. Lots of dive options and renting facilities. Some of the DM's are really good and others not so good (rhetoric luck of the draw). In general the beach and boat staff is very good. The cabins are not so clean and...

What a pleasure to stay here. The staff are really helpful. My son was doing his first sea dive and the staff was really fantastic. Thanks a lot AJ for all the cool dives sites that u took us too and the amazing effort that u made to make him feel part of the scuba life style. The food and...

Sodwana bay has one of the most beautiful dive sites I have seen globally. Dives are relatively priced and you are spoiled for choice. A transport service conveniently takes you to the best run beach hut in the bay. That is probably the only reason I still come to coral divers. Staff are friendly but a la cart food is...

On arrival to the dive camp we were welcomed in by friendly and helpful staff. Our room was super clean and very comfortable, only thing is due to monkeys you can’t leave your windows and doors open so next time I will opt for the cabin with aircon as December gets very hot. The staff are very helpful with arranging...

Never been to a place where scuba diving feels like you are part of an assembly line... It is a good thing that people are trained to become Dive Instructors and Masters and so forth. However, feeling like you are part of a clever business plan to earn lots of money from both sides. made us doubt about safety and...

We had a great time at Coral Divers and enjoyed the open water course. Given that October is a quieter month, we were given a free upgrade to our accommodation, which was really kind of them and appreciated. The open water course was enjoyable and while I understand the need for it, the two days of class work was a...

We are proud to be able to provide all levels of PADI scuba instruction from Bubble Maker to Instructor Development Courses as well as accommodation and dive charters. Lying within the boundaries of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park, Sodwana Bay provides the travelling diver with a vast array of unspoilt coral reefs populated with a huge diversity of Indo-Pacific fish & invertebrates. Apart from the great diving & beautiful coral reefs, the area offers fun and excitement for the non-diver too. Coral Divers offers you a very comfortable diving holiday experience while retaining the rustic appeal of an out-of-the-way bush camp. The area is covered with dense coastal forest offering exquisite scenery, bird watching, and a number of small mammals including Bush Babies, Genets, Duiker and Striped Mongoose. Sodwana is accessible by car, however we can arrange transfers from Hluhluwe - Bushlands (The BazBus drop off point) should you not have your own vehicle. Petrol & Diesel are available from the petrol station in the National Park, and there is a small supermarket which can provide you with essentials such as food, drink and sun block. There are a couple of restaurants both within and outside of the Park, as well as our local night club, 'Maak 'n Jol', where you can dance the night away. Sodwana is also within driving distance of a number of amazing game reserves including Makhasa Game Reserve, Mkhuze Game Reserve, Phinda Game Reserve & the Hluhluwe Mfolozi Park. “My husband and I stayed in the ensuite cabin which was roomy and quirky. The young adults stayed in the basic cabins and shared ablutions which were quite sufficient; they could be quite noisy at night as near to the bar and parking area.”

“The top of the range chalets with internal bathrooms cost a bit more but are really by far the best option. They are set in a lovely grassed milkwood parkland, quieter and more secluded than the rest of busy camp. There are also a lot of lovely campsites set into the coastal forest, but personally I'd only want to camp there in the off season. ”
