It is our pleasure you chose our hotel for your stay in the country on the sunny side of the Alps. We are expecting you in a 33-star hotel. The family-owned Hotel Krona is located at the very edge of Domžale, very close to the Ljubljana – Maribor freeway. Its excellent location guarantees a pleasant stay for businessmen, sports clubs and families who would like to relax near nature with several possibilities for an active vacation (skiing, cycling, walking). The hotel offers 23 tastefully furnished single and double beds (satellite TV, air conditioning, phone), a restaurant with delightful cuisine, a congress hall and a large free parking lot. The hotel is managed by Silva and Martin Bibič.

Absolutely amazing place, best hotel we have visited for ages. Everything was seriously good, room, food, service. A real gem. Wonderful buffet dinner was sixteen euro per person and had everything one could want and breakfast buffet was also great.

When our group arrived at „Krona“, we were greeted by nice personnel who gave us tasty Slovenian drink (sadly I don’t know what it was). After that we received keys for our rooms and moved in. We were glad to live in „Krona“. It’s nice and cozy hotel with interesting interior. Located not far from main touristic attractions and famous places (Bled Castle, Vintgar Gorge, Ljubljana, the Krvavec ski resort and other). There is also a supermarket „Mercator“ near here (about 10 minutes walk). In general we enjoyed our stay in „Krona“. Only the breakfast menu could be bigger. We also missed kettle in our room. Since were tourists from Lithuania, it was really nice to find Lithuanian flag in front of the „Krona“:)

This hotel is a meeting point for “Lastovke” a group of Slovenes who have lived abroad and returned to Slovenia like swallows. The owner, Martin, is one of them. It was a great place for a meeting and we enjoyed the traditional pancakes he served, vowing to come back for a more substantial meal. This place is popular with airline crews and also an option for those touring Slovenia by car but don’t want the hassle of parking in Ljubljana. Can’t comment on the rooms because they had not fully reopened at the time of my visit. English cheerfully spoken.

I loved my stay at this hotel with my husband for a week stay in October 2019! The way we were greeted by the owners Martin & Silva was like we were old friends, both speak excellent English. The rooms we were in (we left a few nights to visit elsewhere, then returned) were nice and clean; they were on the small size for what we were used to (being American) but everything was there for a comfortable stay, plenty of storage and desk area--just lacking more . Housekeeping was really good with needs and cleanliness. The food that Martin cooks is absolutely amazing...we wanted to eat every dinner there. He is a 5 star chef, his menu is incredible with variety. His buffet breakfast was amazingly plentiful and excellent variety...he will make you eggs the ways you like and coffee the way you want (when he is not there, his wife Silva does an excellent job as well). Locals go there, they have many business groups meet there. The lobby walls are full of pictures of past guest and beauty pageant contestants where Martin participated with....our picture is there somewhere (along with Melania Trump's father with Martin). Sufficient free parking for rental car, good location near major roads, shopping, etc. I was negligent in writing this review, but now with coronavirus time, finally did this (sorry Martin and Silva). We had hope to return in 2020, but it looks now like it will be another year. We definitely would stay here again....felt very safe and comfortable! When you go to celebrate the New Year at the Hotel, where you have never been, you always take everything with caution, and not too high expectations. But at the very reception at the door we were surprised. A very nice welcome from the locals and the whole family, with an aperitif and a warm welcome. The rooms are comfortable, and well heated because the temperature was outside around -1 degrees. We have welcomed a new year here, with excellent cuisine and very good music. The next day we had breakfast, but only at twelve o'clock, because we had a good night's sleep after a tumultuous and fun evening. I can only say that we will be back again, and it may not be the New Year's Eve. But one good dinner with the hotel owner will be a pleasure.

This hotel is a gem just outside of the capital of Slovenia in a town called Domzale. Wonderful people - great food - and the owner Martin, is a wonderful man who takes pride in all he does. Breakfast has a wide variety of foods, from eggs, ham, bacon to croissants fresh fruit and assorted pastries. When we are in the area again, we will make sure to stop in here!

The hotel is located near the highway, making it easy reachable. The staff is very pleasent. Rooms are clean and big, although the decor is a bit outdated which is actualy the only thing we did not like about the hotel. Breakfast is served as a buffet, with pleanty of choices, including fresh fruit. You can order food in the restaurant, meals are big and tasty, freshly made by the cook. There is also a big parking, which is free and excellent wifi signal. All in all, we will visit this place again when we come to Slovenia.

If you want to stay near the capital, this is good and cheap place. It is nice and clean and the stuff is friendly. It is only 10 minutes aways from Ljubljana so this is really good choice. I would recommend it for business travelers.

Invited to New Year's Eve Party. Excellent food, especially appetizers and main dishes. Everything from Buffet. Enjoyed in beautifull Fireworks at Midnight. accompanied with "The Blue Danube Wiener Waltz". Music performed by Lojze Ogorevc Music Group with some well known songs we could dance on. Also on request. We tasted wonderfull Champagne with flavour of Apricot, produced in Wine-growing area of Bizeljsko (East Slovenia). Party met all our expectations.
