We recently had a 4 night stay at Brandon Lodge and can’t fault it. Our lodge was clean and well equipped - kitchenette with kettle, fridge, microwave, towels, hairdryer and TV. The beds very comfortable and warm. We had a lovely view across the frozen water and it was very quiet and peaceful. We had booked our package through Discover The World and pre booked our activities. Due to the weather the order of these were changed, but Goran and his team made sure we didn’t miss out on anything. The husky dog experience was brilliant and you could see the dogs were well looked after and very friendly. Snowmobiling was great fun driving across the frozen ice, and all the equipment was in great condition. Our guides over the few days were amazing, very knowledgable and friendly. My favourite adventure was the hovercraft … what a unique experience ! And to top it off we got to see the Northern Lights two nights running - once from the organised excursion and once from the Lodge. Finally the food and drink. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style - good choices from both. Dinner was from a limited menu, but was very fresh and good quality. My children are extremely fussy and the kitchen were very helpful in providing them pasta which was perfect. Drinks prices were reasonably priced too. I would really recommend Brandon Lodge and wish to say a big Thank You to Goran and the team for making our holiday an amazing experience.…

Just spend an amazing 4 days here in winter wonderland. The main lodge is lovely, and the food is fabulous. Individual lodge cabins are small and fairly basic but still contain everything you need for a great time and are always lovely and warm. What really makes this place though is the staff.... Every single person we came across, whether it be waiters, cooks, barstaff or the guys who run the different excursions, just went out of their way to ensure that you had a great time, and had everything you needed. Knowledgable, personable, and exceedingly helpful.... what a great resource for any business to have. The snowmobiling trips and the dogsledding were amazing, unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see the Northern lights, as it snowed for most of our time, but the good news is that has just given us a great excuse to go back! If you are thinking about visiting here - do it!! You won't be disappointed.…

We had a wonderful stay at Brandon Lodge over half term with our teenage daughters. All the activities were well run with wonderful guides. We have just returned from a 3 day stay at Brandon lodges. The lodges are superb, warm and comfortable with home comforts. The staff are amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble. We were greeted by Dominic, who ensured that our stay ran smoothly. We booked the snow shoe nature walk,Northern lights experience Dog sled adventure, the snowmobile nature and archipelago tour and cross country skiing and all activities were extremely well organised with winter clothing provided and amazing, friendly and guides who were passionate and knowleageable. We booked our stay to include breakfast and an evening meal and all food was of an excellent quality, with the option to buy lunch available too. A superb range of high quality meals with excellent service was experienced across our whole stay. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for amazing, lifelong memories!!!…

We have just left Brandon Lodge after a 3night stay in a lovely warm comfortable lodge looking out over the frozen Baltic Sea. We booked breakfast and evening meal as we were out on activities during the day. The food in the restaurant was so very very good and plentiful and the staff who work in there are lovely and helpful. We booked Dog Sledding, Aurora hideaway dinner, nature tour by snowmobile and a night snowmobile Aurora tour, all were excellent with really informative and enthusiastic guides who are passionate about what they do and the place they live. Goran was waiting for us on arrival at the airport and from that moment on Brandon Lodge and the people who work in this amazing place have given us memories that will last a lifetime, Thankyou

We booked a package though The Aurora Zone who were brilliant at setting everything up and got a cabin on the Brandon Lodge site. The place is beautiful, on the side of the frozen sea and nestled in front of woodland. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating - they seemed genuinely happy to see us and could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. The cabins are great, super warm and private with everything you need to be able to make hot drinks etc. Out package included breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were really great - great choice of food but all with a Scandinavian theme, naturally - very filling and delicious, particularly the cod dinner! We did dog sledding, skidoo safari and the northern lights night and were thrilled with each trip and yes, we saw the Northern Lights!!! The dog sledding was great, 10 Alaskan huskies pulling our sled with me driving at night for 2 hours, magnificent adventure. The skidooing was equally awesome - 2 up per snowmobile driving across the sea to setup for camp for hot chocolate (the Swedes LOVE hot chocolate) and then racing back for dinner, brilliant. The Northern Lights trip out onto the frozen sea was magical - you snowmobile out to a camp, have hot chocolate and local liqueurs and then you wait... bingo, the clouds cleared and there they were, magical!! Top Tip: bring an iPhone 11 or later - the iPhone has a very special long exposure setting that Androids don't and without it, you will struggle to take pictures.…

What an amazing adventure! Brandon Lodge was beautiful. The lodges are basic but comfortable, warm and cosy. The main lodge is a lovely place to have a hot chocolate, beer and have a game of cards. The food was delicious! There is no choice (just vegetarian) but we all looked forward to mealtimes! We did the snowmobiling, winter skills, aurora hut meal, dog sledding & hovercraft. The guides & staff were so friendly but knowledgeable too. So glad they provided the extra clothing for snowy days! They have a huge selection of snowsuits, boots, gloves & hats. There’s sledges for the kids to play on which was great when not doing activities. I couldn’t fault it at all. Brilliant!

We have just returned from an amazing weekend at Brandon Lodge where we enjoyed every second of our stay! The Lodge is in a beautiful location by the Bay of Bothnia with a large range of activities to chose from. What really set Brandon Lodge apart was the warm welcome we received from the team. From landing at the airport to meeting the team in the restaurant area and the guides on the activities, everyone was friendly, helpful and looked after us to ensure that we enjoyed an amazing stay at the Lodge and were able to make the most of our time there. The main Lodge is cosy, warm and welcoming with a log fire and a lounge area where you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The Cabins are spacious, comfortable, nicely spaced apart with great facilities and a terrace with a view of the lake. The food in the restaurant is delicious with the meals cooked outside as part of the evening activities being of the same high standards. Traditional Swedish Fika during the daytime activities is also very enjoyable! Thank you Göran and your team for providing us with such an unforgettable and enjoyable experience!…

We have just spent the New Year weekend at Brandon Lodge and had an AMAZING time! The activities were brilliant - despite poor weather for the first part of the weekend. We enjoyed the Nordic Winter skills and Aurora Chasing (despite the weather) with Frederik, fabulous Skidoo adventure on the frozen sea, and the Aurora Hideaway dinner on New Year's Eve with Quintin. All the staff there seem to really love where they work and the environment around it and are knowledgeable and interesting. The unexpected bonus was the food - I hadn't really researched that before we went so had no idea of the high quality to expect. The menus are all set - no choices - so do say in advance if you have any dietary requirements, but everything was delicious and beautifully plated. As a family of five we found it quite exciting to not know what was coming and to discuss all together as we ate the same thing. A very well done to the chefs and kitchen team. I should also mention that there is plenty of winter clothing - overalls, boots, hats, mittens etc to borrow so although you need your own thermal layers for underneath, you don't have the expense (or packing!) for the bulkier items. Overall we have had a wonderful stay - including the New Year's Eve Gala Dinner and midnight countdown with fireworks, singing by the teepee and sparklers. I can't think of a nicer way to spend it! thank you so much. And yes, on our 3rd night the weather changed and we did see the Northern Lights. What more could we have wanted?!…

Well, we're two thirds into a stay at Brandon and not looking forward to leaving! The location, whilst isolated in the depths of a Swedish Christmas, does not cut you off from the feeling of being much welcomed and appreciated as a guest. Every member of the team has been happy, helpful, considerate and extremely attentive from the moment we were collected from the airport. - despite giving up their Christmas to attend to guests 24/7 Buffet breakfast and lunches, & evening dinner are all served with remarkable speed and efficiency. The food is pretty amazing too. Appreciate the limitations catering for a small community of guests, but maybe an alternative on the dinner menu might be a nice addition ... but by no means a criticism. Activities are involving, and a blessing that they're in-house, avoiding hours on coached journeys to and from external activities. The icing, of course, is the location. Breathtaking ... quite literally when it's -20 degrees! In all seriousness, I live in the heart of tourist UK and am rather blown away with the scenery of Brandon's unique surroundings.…
