Linda and I are really pleased you liked our food, yes as I am usually the only chef on, and our food is cooked to order, I like to keep the numbers down so that way so I can give FAB-U-LOUS food. I can understand your comments about the restaurant being a little dated, the modern way today seems to follow the scrubbed tables style, We do prefer a more classic look with linen serviettes and table cloths. Thank you very much for your wonderful review Kind regards Harold and Linda

Food was very good but i think we picked the wrong weeken as a get together was happening with people stopping in tents nearby.Hence the pub was noisy and busy with us having to wait over an hour for our food. The resturant lacked atmosphere being to close to the bar, loud music

Thank you for your review, Linda and I are disappointed you had to leave these remarks, unfortunately this event is a traditional gathering once a year at the summer solstice, for over 40 years. We are pleased you enjoyed your food, although you had to wait. All our food is home made and cooked to order, freshly for you, and unfortunately you did get behind a big party, who had also booked, before you. We do state the there can be delays on busy nights, and we do apologise for your wait. On an event like this, we cannot control who comes to the village, or into the Inn, it’s a one off!! or comments made by other customers. We do apologise for your indifferent experience. Kind and sincere regards Harold & Linda
