Welcome to Saddlers, the elegantly renovated and designed B&B owned by Milly Boxley, located in the charming village of Funtington near Chichester and Goodwood, West Sussex. Saddlers offers 3 double bedrooms, varying in size from: 1 deluxe large, 1 large to 1 medium all with en-suite facilities. A ground floor Snug where a warm log fire is lit for chilly evenings plus an English country garden filled with mature plants, roses and trees for relaxation, where you can also have breakfast in the summer sunshine months. Great effort is made to provide guests with locally sourced produce such as Funtington honey, sausages and bacon as well as catering for all dietary requirements. This property is a delightful family home built in the 1870's on the edge of the community. The main house was originally built by the village saddler, Mr Frederick Ewen and parts of the house were set up as his shop.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Saddlers is very luxurious and spotlessly clean. The rooms do indeed have fluffy pillows, sparkling ensuites, thick towels and gorgeous bath and shower products. You don’t need to take shampoo!
We took our mum in law who is unable to walk far for a break near the sea. Milly made us feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. Mum had a room on the ground floor with a walk in shower. Although there is not a chair in the rooms, the snug is very cosy and we spent evenings in there. Thegarden is beautiful and has tables for eating on if yiu have your own food. Milly gave us crockery for our take away meal.
The breakfasts are delicious. I am coeliac and my needs were catered for. Homemade yoghurt, local produce including jams-all very scrummy.
There are fabulous restaurants nearby. Tip- let Milly book the best in advance as they do get full and a few are shut on Mondays.
Saddlers is next to the road and there is some road noise.

Truly exceptional week at Saddlers. So fortunate that we had the entire house to ourselves and it was large enough for all 3 generations of our family to stay in total comfort, never feeling crowded. The house is immaculate.
Every conceivable facility was available and the gardens gave us plenty of extra space for the children to play in.
Pubs were within easy walking distance, serving good food - though booking in advance is advisable.
Milly gave us a very warm welcome and it was a pleasure staying in her home - hopefully we will be lucky enough to return.

This gem is the creation of Milly Boxley, and a stay here will show her true heart and soul energy put into making you feel very special! Everything is spotless, all details are taken care of, and breakfasts are gourmet quality. We had such a great time at the table with other couples it felt like family. The rooms are cozy and quiet and baths are modern and clean. It’s a great location for exploring the area with several good pubs nearby. Highly recommend staying here-one of the very best we have stayed at in several trips to England!!

We had discovered "Saddlers B&B" in Googlemaps and loved the very nicely decorated and well maintained accommodation during our stay. We were warmly received and it was regularly asked for our wishes e.g. regarding the rich breakfast and information provided e.g. Where to go for dinner well. Each room had its own front door key and a fridge compartment for the milk provided! and the vehicles could be parked in the yard/behind the house. There was a common lounge and in fine weather you could sit in the garden and also have breakfast.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Milly’s wonderful B&B and it was fantastic again. Milly is the perfect host - nothing is too much trouble for her - and her attention to detail makes this a lovely place to stay. The breakfasts which are cooked to order are delicious, and the rooms are beautifully furnished. We will definitely be back!

Nothing was too much trouble for the owner of Saddlers. Milly provided us with everything needed for our stay, including help and advice about the area. Our warm welcome included freshly made cake and the provision of a man made fibre duvet - as I am allergic to feathers. Breakfast was superb with a fantastic range of options and included locally sourced sausages, home made preserves and freshly blended smoothies. Saddlers is a lovely property with high quality fittings and furnishings, all spotlessly clean and well maintained. The 5' bed was comfortable. The property is in a pretty village but the road which passes through it does get a fair amount of traffic during rush hour.

We stayed one night to attend a wedding locally and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Milly was very welcoming and attentive (without being intrusive). Our dual-aspect room was cosy and well-appointed with a very comfortable bed and wonderfully soft, fluffy pillows. There was some traffic noise from the road but this subsided during the night and didn't affect a good night's sleep.
We also had sole use of the snug during our stay and the log fire on a rainy afternoon was much appreciated. Tea, coffee and fresh milk were provided in our room and the snug and homemade madelines were a lovely touch.
Breakfast was beautifully cooked to order and well presented with freshly made smoothies, coffee and a selection of breads, jams and preserves.
Thank you Milly for making our short stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Such a warm welcome by the proprietor Camilla. She Made to feel at home straight away and signposted me to the local public house. I was fortunately to arrive earlier than the other guests so I was property fully orientated and made aware of the house rules, allowing me to settle in the guest lounge at the end of long week of work!
Superb breakfast Saturdays morning and a strong walk recommended to explore the leafy around of Funtington. Loved it and will be back for another visit ! Thanks you Camilla !

Well what a wonderful stay. We couldn't believe our luck to have managed to seal a booking here.
If you found Saddlers because you'd like a B&B in the area and it is available , don't hesitate, book it before it goes! You will not be disappointed. Attention to small details make all the difference and a host that delivers a service above and beyond with a huge welcoming smile.
I'm so late in writing this (apologies Milly). Thank you for your kindness and smiles.

Wonderful and welcoming B&B. Super comfortable room and Millie a very attentive host. Lovely “snug” guest drawing room with cosy fire. Great home made cooked breakfast and loads of attention to detail. Well worth staying if you are in the area. Well positioned for many local pubs , Chichester Harbour, Goodwood and South Downs. We stayed two nights over the weekend and were extremely well looked after. Millie even found us a great pub nearby (White Horse at Chilgrove) to have dinner at short notice after our original reservation had a gas leak !
