Villa Marambat is all what I expected and more. I visited solo for a long weekend as I was invited in the area for a wedding. The minute I arrived I realized this is a pure gem among the rolling hills and vineyards in this relatively less known area of France. The first thing you see is the swimming pool not huge but comfortable very clean and sparkling blue. The house itself is quite large and has four bedrooms which are let to guests in the good season. My room on the ground floor was large with a comfortable double bed and an additional single bed. Excellent pillows and mattress. Good quality linen. The bathroom is accessible across the area of the entrance hall separated from the rest by a screen. It has quite a large modern shower and good lighting. Breakfast in the morning is jovially served to all the guests on a big wooden table in the garden. Fresh yoghurt and jams are home made and the fruit served is from the garden. Croissants and bread are always good and fresh. I have not tried it but heard from other guests that the owner Jean Pierre is a great chef. Both Jean Pierre and Aline, the owners are great hosts, very friendly and attentive. This is a great place for couples. Sunsets are magic. I will definitely return.

We loved this house from the minute we arrived.the host and hostess were kind and generous and also good fun. They clearly invested them selves in the property and it was lovely. The rooms were a good size. They were also clean and had everything one could need.
We walked out from the property for about an hour on our arrival to try to get the 6 and a half hours of driving out of our legs. We had a quick bath and then down for a drink and dinner. The four of us ate together and the food and wine were exceptional. All local produce were possible.
We had a comfortable night and a good but simple breakfast. It was truly excellent.

Best thing was the scale and personal attention. Being new to the area, we appreciated the help planning our routes and accommodation of our schedule. Dinner? Whenever. Breakfast? As you please. Special requirements? No problem. Very nice couple restored an 1814 manor house to creature comforts. Five rooms. Situated in rural Gascogne amid vineyards and wheat fields. The website doesn’t do it justice. You’ll love it.

To get to Villa Marambat is the most stunning journey through the beautiful French countryside. Once there, the house and garden are simply breathtaking. The rooms are very private and gorgeously decorated to really make you feel like you are staying in a special place. Those beds are some of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in. My plan was to be up early every morning to go jogging, and that literally never happened. The food is absolutely amazing. We weren't expecting anything on the level of five course meals and were pleasantly surprised with how delicious everything was [especially as two fussy eaters]. The countryside around is definitely worth exploring, we rented a car which made travelling to see the nearby forts and villages easy to do. All in all a fantastic stay and I cannot wait for my next visit.

The hosts , Aline and Jean Pierre, are very nice and friendly,
Jean Pierre is THE chef...food is excellent, good choices on wines. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting ,so I will recommand deeply if you want to spend weekends or vacations in the region plus you have good music festivals close by, Latino and Jazz. I will be back.

Very friendly owners who did everything for us (we had problems with our Bike), beautiful 18th century house, wonderful bed and a diner from chef Jan-Pierre that deserved a Michelin star. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to Aline & Jean-Pierre for their welcome, kindness, & availability.
Our stay was a real delight, fans of guest rooms we found excellence at Villa Marambat. What can we say about Jean Pierre's little dishes, we enjoyed Aline's jams, yogurts, ice creams...
A big thank you to them Patricia, Michel.

Idyllic setting in the middle of the vineyards in the heart of the Gers, magnificent, spacious room, in a very pretty character house tastefully decorated. Aline and JPo are attentive and very friendly hosts, without forgetting JPo's talents as a chef! In summary, a great stay
