The rooms in the B&B were newly restored and equipped. They are spacious and charming. They have a SAT TV and a small fridge for keeping drinks cool which is very nice. Wifi is available but at certain times pretty poor. Also good is the aircon for hot summer days.

The B&B is situated in Partino which is about 2km from Palaia where the next restaurants/cafés are. It is thus absolutely necessary to have a car. In the village are just a few houses, so it is extremely quiet and not touristy. Parking spaces are available about 100m from the property.

The breakfast which was offered was beyond a joke. On half of the days, there were just tiny pieces of pre-packed Zwieback (biscottate) available, a jar with instant coffee powder, a bowl of cereals and a few tea bags. The water heater also did not work and the dirty dishes were always standing in the sink. On the other days, there was one croissant and one capsule of coffee for the coffee machine offered per person. No fruit, no yoghurt, no juice, no normal bread or small pieces of cake - very disappointing, even for a typical sweet Italian breakfast and I was not expecting much. But for holiday feeling it might be nice to start the day well... The best way to go about it is to skip breakfast and drive up to the small coffee bar in Palaia which has great coffee and pastries for a reasonable price and really friendly staff.

The owner of the B&B was friendly but definitely not made for managing an accomodation: beds in the rooms were never made in 6 (!) days. The owner offered it once but whenever I came home, the room looked exactly like I had left it. No towels were exchanged within one week (in summer!), no new toilet paper (I bought it myself in the end), dust on the shelves in the room, the water bottle in the mini bar half empty when i arrived, breakfast tables were never cleared out before very late in the afternoon and the dirty dishes were stacked up in the sink for several days,...
It is a real pity because the B&B is generally a neat and charming place but poorly looked after.

I also don't know where the fotos of the garden with the sunbeds and of the whirlpool were taken to illustrate the property - but it was definitely not here. There is just a balcony in front of the breakfast room with a view over the valley. And last but not least, the building can get quite noisy as isolation is not great. So be ready to wake up several time throughout the night when guests return from parties or the owner sets the breakfast table at 5:30 or 6:00 am...

If you are a non-smoker, you should never book this place. Even my clothes in the room smelled!
I checked in after 4pm, the room was not ready. After a while I got the key. A used coffee cup was on the table, the towels washed, but not clean. Bring your own. First morning: the kitchen was still dirty like the day before, used dishes in the sink. No coffee, no water, no milk or juice. One Croissant and some jam, tee bags. This is not breakfast. Nobody was in the building.
The next and last day, of course I told the gentleman when I will leave: there was nothing!
It was not really clean, it was not dusty, but the bathroom and the floor need more than a brush.
It is a Bed Location, but never Bed & Breakfast.
