Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff are amazing , so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We arrived early and Ang welcomed us straight away, our room was ready so we were able to settle in straight away. The large size and comfort of our room was perfect overlooking the garden. We relaxed with drinks on the outdoor veranda and ate dinner, food was very good and once again the staff at dinner were great. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful and Mel looked after us well, total credit to the team. We just wished our stay was longer because everything about the hotel was a delight, keep us the excellent work everybody you truly do excel in what you do. We will definitely return.

Hotel's Favourite
We were wowed by our room, the very large balcony looking out to sea, the attention to detail and the quality of the breakfasts and the dinner we had at Porth Beach Hotel. The owners and their son were excellent hosts and the waiting staff in the morning were very kind. My one tip though is order your taxis well in advance if you don’t have your own car when travelling to and from the hotel.

I had followed the hotels instagram page for a while however I finally got to experience it last week. I didn’t stay however I had my birthday drinks and food at the hotel and it was amazing. The decor and views topped it off. Thanks for having me - from your new biggest fan :)

Angie, and Leon greeted us with grace and servants hearts! Mel who served us breakfast each morning was a delight, attentive and a joy to be near! She was exceptional in her service! The views are amazing of course! Our room impeccably kept! We also ate dinner twice and it was delicious with the same attention to detail in the kitchen as service on the floor!! We could not be happier and will return by God’s grace to this wonderfully run, fun, family boutique hotel that truly defines that particular market space! Well done all!! Thanks for great memories!!

My first time at Porth Beach hotel and I will most definitely return. The hotel is in a superb position with amazing views of the beach which can be enjoyed from the front veranda with a glass of something from the hotel bar. The rooms are modern, well presented and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant is also first class with a range of home cooked and locally sourced options available. The highlight for me was the mother and son team of Melissa and Steve who greeted guest with a warm and friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their local knowledge was very useful along with a hearty breakfast to get you off on the right foot. See you again soon Jason

Wow wow wow. What a place. The setting, rooms, owners and staff are first class and could not have made our stay any more enjoyable. The hotel have this year introduced spa facilities in the grounds. The views over Porth whilst sitting in the jacuzzi or colling off from the sauna are amazing. Would definitely recommend the coastal walk from the hotel front door to Watergate Bay. Lastly, if you think you have had good poached eggs before, be prepared to have the bar reset. Thank you so much to Anj, Baf, Leon and Rose.

Having stayed here twice before, we were excited to stay again. Sadly it seems to have gone downhill somewhat. Rooms were still as good but we found the staff lacking in customer repartee. The evening food has definitely gone downhill and the clientele in the restaurant seemed totally different from the past ie babies either nappies hanging out and kids running round the place etc. Sadly I don't think we would return.

This hotel is in such a beautiful location. You can eat breakfast with the view of the beach. There’s a lovely short walk to the cliffs to watch the sunset. The room was perfect size with great facilities. Breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly and more than happy to help!

We stayed for a last minute night as we wanted a night by the coast to end our lovely trip to Cornwall and we were not disappointed. Welcome, room and breakfast was all top class. Comfortable Bed and lovely bath. Also top end cocktails and mocktails. The restaurant was closed as it was a Monday night.... but the owner recommended the tapas bar at the bottom of the hill which was amazing. Will definitely be back!
