Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just a really nice place. Comfortable bedroom, nice lounge, lovely surroundings good food., Staff very welcoming. We have stayed here twice in the past and it didn't disappoint then and it didn't now. Good for a trip to the local beach, which is good for bird watching in early March. This time we watched the locals wind surfing.

We were very impressed with this hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Henry Adams Wing and the room was clean, very well thought about, lots of little details and the bed was really comfortable. Dinner, in both the Riverview and Henry's, and breakfasts were great, very tasty and well presented. We made use of the Beaulieu break which was great value for money. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at this hotel

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The welcome was warm and friendly. All the staff were lovely. The room (10) was cosy and more importantly quiet even though it overlooked the car park. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a bit flat. Read the instructions on the welcome sheet before you have a shower, and it will be very good. Tea and coffee facilities in the room consist of a nespresso machine and kettle. A guide to the different colour coffee pods would have been useful. We ate dinner in Henry's bar. Good quality food, and prices consistent with those in Beaulieu village. Breakfast good quality and good selection.

One of favourite getaways lovely location great staff, but for some strange reason they have ruined the dog friendly breakfast room , instead of sitting comfortably at a table to enjoy your breakfast , you are forced to sit on low level arm chairs and eat your breakfast on tiny little tables totally uncomfortable and cramped! Who ever thought up this ridiculous idea? Further more the door from the breakfast room to the bar has been blocked off meaning that customers and poor staff have to walk the length of the hotel to just get to the bar ! This is a terrible idea, why!

Thanks so much for your review. I'm delighted you had another great stay at the Master Builder's and the team looked after you so well. We are very dog friendly but serving breakfast in the pub was proving really challenging for the team and was detrimentally affecting service in the main restaurant. We've slightly changed the layout of the pub since it's refurbishment a few months ago and have received consistently good feedback and are definitely able to offer better service.

This hotel is situated in a lovely spot. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was small but clean with a good size walk in shower. The only issue is the lack of attention to detail. Room cleaned but bed unmade, chipped crockery, handle came off the breakfast seed container, and the need to ask for sauces at breakfast. It could be better organised at meal times. We also thought the food menu a bit limiting if staying for any length of time. However, we did enjoy our stay even though it never stopped raining!

We were really impressed by the professionalism and care of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and their warmth was felt throughout the whole hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and warm and the bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. The food was superb and extremely tasty. Needless to say, the setting of the hotel is perfect.

Three outstanding things about this hotel - the food, the staff and the location. Initially we found the climb to our room (on the top floor) daunting, but the staff swopped us to a ground floor room which was clean, warm, and comfortable. A lovely couple of days.
