Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The lodges are so peaceful and luxurious. So many added touches that really made our stay so special. Everything is clean and the staff are lovely. You can not fault this place. Our first getaway in five years after full time carers. We lost dad and after the funeral had cofton booked. So impressed we booked again. came away very rested and helped the healing.

Property's Favourite Review
We recently stayed in one of the cottages on the Easton estate and had a lovely stay. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. There were teabags, coffee pods, sugar, milk and a few dishwasher tablets left and there was a lovely basket of local food and drinks from suppliers in Devon. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and the area is so peaceful! The Easton estate is a short walk from Dawlish Warren but further from the main Cofton Park so if you want to be close by to all the things Cofton offers you may prefer to stay in the accomodation on the main site.

Had the best well needed peaceful fortnight, stayed in a cottage on the Easton estate which had everything needed to make our stay comfortable and very peaceful, the cottage was exceptionally clean and the gardens well maintained, I didn’t have to worry about my doges getting out and outside area front and back was securely fenced and gated which gave my dogs the freedom to wander in and out, the wooded area at the back of the cottages was a lovely walk with amazing views, we cannot wait to return.

We have been to Cofton quite a few times & stayed in all sorts of different accommodation. What they all have in common is that they are spotlessly clean & well equipped. This time we were in a Lodge which we loved, especially the hot tub! Wonderful on a cold wet February day to jump into the hot tub & relax after a long walk. The site is very well maintained & the staff are very pleasant. I will certainly be going back & would definitely recommend it.

We stayed in an apartment on the Eastdon Estate and it was excellent. Very clean and had everything we needed. Nice to have the welcome hamper and drinks in the fridge. Heating worked well and plenty of hot water. The apartment was slightly dark and being on the ground floor we could hear the noisy family upstairs quite late into the night! Parking area very good but could do with another outside light in the dark evenings. If you want to use the facilities of the main park be aware it is some distance away so a stay here with children is not practicable. Check in and out very quick and easy and all staff very pleasant. A nice place to stay out of season

We have been coming to Cofton for two decades and have never been disappointed. The standard of the facilities is excellent. The cleanliness is above excellent ( great work domestic team!) and the fixtures and fittings are of a high standard too. We’ve had glorious weather over the weekend and the distance from the accommodation is perfect for a leisurely walk to the beach! Thank you! We are looking forward to coming back!

Excellent facilities, immaculate clean , everything you need in the beautiful warm holiday home , usually do touring on the site which is really good with large spaces , becoming pricey but for the standards I feel it is warranted , all year round .

Pros- nice clean site and friendly staff. Nice flat gravelled pitch but no good for a wheelchair user. Cons - allocated a pitch at one end of the site with a steep incline to navigate to reach all services. It was also extremely noisy day and night with constant road traffic on the A379. Not the idyllic peaceful break you would have expected in rural Devon. We booked online using the disabled shortcut only to find the pitch we were allocated was totally unsuitable for a wheelchair user. The accessible pitches have astroturf which is fine if you never leave the pitch. However in reality the journey to the restaurant, shop, entertainment and visitor centre is up a steep incline, so extremely challenging if you are self propelling a wheelchair! We only booked because the website claims the campsite to be disabled friendly. Maybe if you are able bodied you might have that perception but I can assure you it’s not. As many other patrons have pointed out the Wi-Fi app doesnt work unless you purchase a voucher code, so fundamental things like checking and adding mains electric are a huge issue when the phone signal is poor. We bought 2 breakfast vouchers but then had to pay £3.75 extra for a drink. Very unusual? I’m surprised they don’t charge extra for the hire of a plate, cup and utensils as almost every other essential is made an extra charge at Cofton. We made a mistake in our breakfast order and had to return one to have the eggs cooked through fully. It took 10 minutes to reappear and all the rest of the breakfast was stone cold. All in all a bit of a disastrous stay.
