As ever, an excellent stay at Petres. The fact that we (and so many others) return year after year speaks volumes. The warm welcome and hospitality delivered throughout is genuine and is what makes this place so special.

The location is a little remote and hiring a car is recommended if you want to see more of the island, however we always rely on the local busses. It does take more effort, but for us it is worth it as Paros and Anti Paros are such lovely Islands.

Sotiris does offer a drop off and pick up service to Naoussa at set times of the day and evening, which is a really welcome addition for us, and occasionally we will walk the back road into Naoussa, however this would not be suitable for everyone and certainly not at night.

The pool area is great, with ample areas to lounge and it never feels too busy (people generally venture out during the day).

Rooms are immaculately clean and all have great views over the bay of Naoussa.

It's been said multiple times before, but the breakfast really is the best I have ever had on any holiday, fresh, simple and always something homemade.

At lunch there is usually a homemade special, to accompany the regular menu of delicious salads and dips.

If you want wild pool parties and all inclusive type food, drink and entertainment on tap, then this is definitely NOT the place for you.

But for a lovely, relaxing holiday with the best hosts and their fantastic team, then you should really give it a go.

Wow. The most amazing hotel, nothing is too much trouble for Sotiris, Claire, Maria and their team. Many 5 star styled hotels could learn from the levels of service, quality and friendliness here. Rooms are spotlessly clean with great views over the bay, home made breakfasts that change every day. Never too busy to make you feel special, this is a wonderful hotel in an era of non descript chains

We stayed at Hotel Petres back in 2015, and after deciding to spend the first two nights of our trip to Greece recovering from a long day of traveling (from Canada) we decided to return.

A brilliant decision. Sotiris was at the airport as arranged to pick us up.

While Hotel Petres does not have a full restaurant they do have a number of starters plus one additional main dish – all we needed. The Greek salad is one of the best we have had – such fresh tasty tomatoes along with all the other ingredients. Breakfast is extensive, with changes every day – cakes, fruit, eggs, yoghurt, fresh (squeeze it yourself) orange juice, great coffee.

Petres, while not on a beach, has a large pool for guests to enjoy. Views from the terrace of one's room, over the pool to the coast and the sea create a very tranquil, relaxed ambiance.

Everyone, from Sotiris to Clea to their daughter Maria to our server Eva are so very welcoming and friendly.

There is no question that whenever we are back in Paros we will be staying at Hotel Petres.

We have travelled to mainland Greece and the islands many times and Petres Hotel, for many reasons, is the best we have stayed at. The owners Sotiris and Clea, go out of their way to make your stay both enjoyable and comfortable. The pool and the surrounding area is fantastic; the breakfasts varied and delicious; and the rooms immaculate. It is a few kilometres from Naoussa but Sotiris is unfailingly helpful with his pick up and drop off service. We leave tomorrow after nearly a week and would unhesitatingly recommend Petres to anyone thinking of staying on Paros.

Such a great hotel experience. Clea, Sotiris & Maria are so wonderful and make you feel so welcome and at home. The breakfasts were amazing and varied everyday. The property is very pretty and in an excellent location. The free transfer to and from the ferry and other rides into town were so appreciated. Couldn't ask for a better hotel in Paros, especially if you are mostly exploring the island which you should! Nice to come back to a nice pool / property at the end of every day. Most people who stay here seem to keep coming back and there is a reason why!

We last visited Petres Hotel in 2016 and our return this year was long overdue. The hospitality provided by Sotiris, Clea and Maria was outstanding; they are like family. The hotel was updated since our last visit . The room was spotless and the bed so comfortable. Breakfast was varied daily and delicious. They now offer lunch and dinner but we did not sample it as we were out and about. The grounds themselves are beautiful and so relaxing. The pool was clean and there is plenty of lounging area. Sotiris arranged a car rental for us and we visited the surrounding beaches and towns. If you have a chance rent a car and explore the island. There is so much to offer. Petres Hotel is a place we know where we can relax. The staff are pleasant and especially the ladies who work in the kitchen are the best. Petres Hotel only gets better with time. We can't wait to go back!

I come here for 18 years and even in this strange 2020 summer Petres is a paradise on hearth! The island is quiet as it was 10 years ago. The hotel is always very clean and this year all safety measures are in place...even more than you could expect. Clea, Sotiris and the staff will welcome you in a peaceful and feel home atmosphere. All shops and restaurants are open. A very good year to (re)discover Paros and Hotel Petres! Probably this year we will dee dolphins again on the beautiful eagean beaches....do not hesitate to visit Paros this year! I ll come back in September!

We came in 2019 and came back for a second memorable stay in this family owned place that will make you feel like home. The breakfast are absolutely fabulous and the owners and the staff are so friendly. The rooms are extremely clean and we appreciate the airport transfer offered by the hotel.

Petres is a little hotel run by, Sotiris and Clea Chatzinikolakis, a charming couple, he from Athens and she originally from Alexandria. They are the main asset of the hotel, with their consideration and attentiveness, and Clea with her high spirits. I have stayed there twice and am thinking of returning with as many members of my family as possible next year. The hotel has a lovely view of a bay where lies the beach of Kolimbythres - a must when in Paros. Its environments are quite calm - you will hear cows, sheep and crowing cocks in the morning. A car is a must when staying there, but they are easy to rent and cheap. The hotel is not expensive, we payed 80 eur in high season, which is not much considering the size of our room, the view, the good breakfast and the lovely pool they have in Petres. Reccomendend unconditionally.

Very unhappy with hotel. No amenities. No one even answers when call desk. Shower like on a small sailboat. Owners nice but strict. Ordered car for stay. Owner had car delivered upon 8:00 PM arrival which was useless, car picked up am departure day. Charged for three days. Only had use for two.
Very noisy if on ground floor from guests on second floor.

How far is it to Naoussa..walking How many Km or how long to walk.
Answer from Kippax_Blue
Stockport, United Kingdom63 contributions21 helpful votes
We walked it a couple of times, but on the back roads (main road not recommended because of lack of footpath). It probably took about 45 mins and you wouldn't do it at night. Was quite a tough walk in the heat of the day. As Ellen has said above the owners will always drop you off and pick you up. Just my opinion, but i wouldn't let the distance from Naoussa put you off staying at Petres.
