We hired out Powys Pods for a family get-together for my Dad's Birthday. Jess and her lovely dogs greeted us on arrival, she had got the heaters on in our pods so they were nice and cosy! We had terrible weather the day of arrival so Jess had very kindly got her bothy cleared out for us to cook and eat in. With it being based up in the hills you get glorious views but you are quite exposed to the wind which proved tricky at times. It was all part of the experience! The facilities were excellent! Warm, clean, and well supplied. There is an excellent BBQ as well which we managed to utilise on our last evening. The setting is stunning and it is so peaceful there! We would definitely come and stay again. There are some great local walks and Jess gave us some suggestions for things to do in not such great weather. Erwood Station Gallery and Hay on Wye are wonderful places to visit.

This was my first experience of glamping. I didn't know what to expect and was very pleased with the comfortable and extremely clean lodgings and well planed kitchen and shower areas. There was ample space in the pod for gear and bedding. The pod had heating and a light. Also, each pod has its own designated large kitchen area, with kettle, sinks, fridge and hot plates, plus a large table to sit 4 to 8. The area is one of great natural beauty and has hours and hours of lovely ambling hill walks. While driving to Powys Pods, and on my walks, I met some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered. My 2 dogs and I were comfortable, relaxed, and made very welcome. In the time of Covid, no place could have been better designed. All areas have walkways or divisions for social distancing. Great kudos to Jess for keeping the site up to a very strict standard. You would find it difficult to holiday in any place more relaxing or lovelier than Powys Pods at any time!

Stayed here for one night as a motorbike group on a weekend in mid Wales. The Pods were a welcome sight after a long days biking in drizzle on some fantastic but slippery narrow lanes. The Pods are clean, spacious, warm and bare. Advertised as camping without a tent, and were exactly that! We were a group of 4 &2 so the Bryn Gwyn and Allt Dderw were perfect for our needs and travelling in October we had the whole site to ourselves. The facilities area was just right! Tables, BBQ, sinks etc was everything we needed. The lack of phone signal and limited Wi-Fi was also a boon. We all interacted and entertained ourselves without needing the internet -perfection!! For us of a certain age, the limited light made playing cards etc late into the night a bit difficult at times, but sometimes it added to the fun - getting things wrong- and once again no one able to sulk and stream videos on social media. Would definitely stay here again, probably for a longer weekend. It must be stunning in the dryer summer months, with the peace and quiet of isolation and fantastic views.

What a fantastic place two stay surrounded by nothing but the hills them selfs, pods are beautiful can’t fault them in any way, yes there is no phone signal but the wifi is good but frankly there is no need for any of it when your in these surroundings just looking out at the beautiful view, 2 adults 3 children in one pod no problem, fantastic fire pit to sit around and enjoy quality time, showers are excellent also very clean, overall a brilliant 2 night stay would highly recommend
