Great hotel in a lovely location with easy access to the town. Friendly, attentive staff and a wide selection of food for all tastes. We did yoga with a sea view and water aerobics every day which was a great way to start the day! Would definitely visit again!

Hotel's Favourite
We've just returned from a 2 week stay at Golden Coast (with Jet 2) and we're already missing the place. The hotel is lovely, situated just 1 minute from a great beach. Between the hotel and the beach is a large pool, with seperate kids pool and water slide. Right next to the pool is a well-stocked bar which serves free all-inclusive drinks, iced cofees, cocktails, ice creams and takeaway meals for most of the day. The staff here are lovely and soon learn your drink preferences. Now then... this is the important bit... to avoid disappointment MAKE SURE YOU GET THE ALL INCLUSIVE 'PLUS' PACKAGE. Several members of our party had opted for the standard all inclusive package (silver wrist band) - they were forced to spend their holiday in a state of perpetual envy. The drink and food choices are limited with standard all inclusive. See a premium spirit that takes your fancy? Nope, not for you sir. Fancy a Toblerone ice cream? I'm afraid not. The PLUS package (purple wrist band) opens up a world of joy. Endless premium spirits and snacks (they have everything), access to the free Mediterranean restaurant at lunchtime, extended drinking hours (1am vs 11pm on standard). Speaking of the Mediterranean restaurant - a special mention has to go to Panikos, the restaurant supervisor. He looked after us from day one and quickly became a family friend. He was funny, attentative and even let our daughter take the food orders and send them to the kitchen. We ate here every day. He also manages the adjascent Italian restaurant Mama Leone's. The food here is superb (far better than anything you'll get at the all inclusive buffet), but you're limited to one visit per trip. We were so impressed, we chose to go back a second time (which we paid for). The all inclusive buffet has a huge selection of hot and cold food, but don't expect restaurant quality. Having said that, we always left with full bellies. If you want a pool-side sunbed, you need to have your towel down for 7am. There are several banks of beds leading down the the beach - these are usually available until 7.30am and are situated between the pool and beach (this is where we set up camp). There are sunbeds available on the beach (7 euro's for 2 beds). There's also an indoor pool and jacuzzi if you need to get out of the sun. The entertainment is ok. There's live music for adults on the terrace and a kids disco inside each night. The mini disco features the same songs in the same order each night (our 11 year old enjoyed it though). You're then treated to bingo and an entertainer. The parrot show was comically bad. There was an acrobat dressed as a strange rabbit-clown thing with a squeaky voice. The highlight was four female dancers who put on a great show, performing modern world-themed dance for an hour. They were superb. The resident entertainers do aerobics in the pool each morning and try to instigate games such as water polo and bowls. The ringleader of these entertainers prowls the hotel, fequently shouting his trademark 'woo woo' catchphrase. He was harmless enough, but quite annoying. Our superior room with sea-view was lovely and well equipped. The view from the balcony was easily worth the upgrade price. It was seriously hot when we went in August, so the chance to retreat to our air-conditioned room with a couple of cocktails was a life-saver. Many a 'Golden Coast Special' was drained on the balcony as the sun went down. The hotel includes a spa, a well equipped gym and a superb onsite shop on the bottom floor. The shop sells pretty much everything at a good price and the people who run it are very friendly. One thing worth noting - we were warned prior to travelling that there may be some disruption/noise caused by the nearby marina construction. This was hardly noticable and caused no disruption whatsoever. Don't let this deter you. What I would recommend, is heading down to the marina to book a trip on the Ayia Trias III boat to swim with turtles. That was amazing. In summary, our 2 week stay was a very pleasant one and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The positives far outweigh any minor criticisms. The staff especially are a credit to the hotel. There's plenty onsite to keep you occupied, but busy Protaras is a 10 minutes taxi ride away if you fancy a change of scenery. Finally, if you take anything from this review, make sure it's this: don't try and save money by choosing the standard all inclusive package. The purple all inclusive PLUS wrist band is your ticket to happiness.

Dear Adam, Thank you very much for choosing the Golden Coast Beach Hotel to spend your holidays in Protaras, Cyprus , and for sending us your feedback! We are delighted to see that you had a great and enjoyable time staying with us and that you found our hotel to be lovely and our staff great! We definitely agree with you that the All Inclusive Plus package is the best value for money from all the packages we have ! As a matter of fact, as from the new season , Summer 2024, we decided to have just one package available for our All Inclusive guests, and this is of course going to be the All Inclusive Plus package. We also thank you about your comment regarding the nearby marina construction, and we definitely agree with you that is hardly noticable and causes very little or no disruption whatsoever. We are very happy when our guests are honest like yourself , and mention the facts how they really are, it helps us a lot as a hotel and we really appreciate this! Once more, thank you very much, and we are all looking forward to your return visit to our hotel so that we will have the chance to manage to succeed in offering an even more better and enjoyable stay !

Great cheeky end of season week! We stayed during the last week of the season. The hotel was still busy, the weather was great and Protaras (which is easily reached by bus- just a few minutes and right outside the hotel) was still busy with lots open. The pools were chilly. Lots of kids still playing who didn’t seem to mind but ours found it too cold. We did have little shorty wetsuits which helped them. The slide opens twice a days and is manned by a lifeguard. The sea was warm enough though. The beach out the back is absolutely beautiful. Shallow water out a long way for the kids, cheap beds, close enough to pop for an all inclusive drink! There is a kids disco at 8.45pm. It wasn’t great compared to other hotels. The leaders don’t speak at all! They model the dances to the same loop of songs every night. In saying that, lots of kids were enjoying it. Breakfast is good. Loads of choice. Lunch also has loads of choice. I was a bit fed up of the evening meals by the end but there was still lots of choice. I just like the atmosphere of being out for an evening meal so I suppose that’s personal preference. We had a family room with bunk beds. The screen between the bunk beds and is made it feel like the kids had a little bedroom. Storage in the top. For a family of 4 might be tight for 2 weeks but was fine for a week. Overall, great hotel, comfy beds, good food, friendly staff, on a beautiful beach. Easy access to Protaras via the bus but a selection of restaurants and bars I. Walking distance (a couple on the main road and a few on the coastal path). A good value holiday. This hotel has a couple of bad reviews which it does not deserve.

This is a great 4 star hotel, anyone moaning about it has likely not travelled much. It is definitely up to 4 star European standard. You can upgrade to all inclusive plus for three of us it was around £500 extra for the week and in my opinion totally worth it. You’ll get your choice of premium drinks which also make the cocktails better, (be careful you might consume more!) you get premium branded ice creams and the opportunity to eat in the taverna style restaurant every lunch. It also extends the bar until 1pm so if you watch a later show you can still get a drink. You also get the mini bar stocked once and some other nice touches like a bottle of wine, fruit bowl and Cypriot delights in the room. The staff have been pleasant all stay and bar waiters on an evening were very attentive. Our room was modern enough and nicely fitted out family superior the bed was super comfy. Maid service was prompt and good with regular changes of towels. The food seemed to be pretty good, if you like Greek food there’s always a good meal to be had but perhaps not as varied style and number of cuisines that you might find in some all inclusive resorts. Personally I would rather have good local Greek food than lots of badly made international dishes. The dessert selection was not vast and could be slightly improved upon. The towel switch is great meaning you can enjoy fresh pool towels all week. The hotel is very nicely designed with good decor, especially the outdoor seating areas. The hotel is a good way out of protaras) so not a good choice if you want the hustle bustle of that. All thought we enjoy being in a quieter and less busy area. The hotel leads right to the beach which the beds are chargeable on (it appears t be run by the local council) and is a reasonable cost at just 7.50 euro for two beds. I would say the grounds are pretty immaculate and well designed with modern seating, due to the various level differences probably not the best for anyone infirm. It’s a great choice for all inclusive and overall I would say it’s one of the best value to quality all inclusive hotels I have stayed in.

Superb location - few minutes from room to beach, which was not overcrowded like most. Bus nearby. Comfy bed/pillows. Clean. Friendly. Although Tui Rep never there on time. Vast selection of food - something to suit all. My bad timing - I clashed with half term, so bit noisy kids wise. Arrived middle of night and sandwiches/fruit waiting for me. The few cats were well behaved and sat quietly, not bothering people. No problem finding a sunbed and clean towels for the sunbeds supplied free each day! Also clean towels in room when required. I can recommend.

This resort has something for everyone. There’s plenty of sunloungers by the pool and on the grass terraces overlooking the bay. There’s a water slide and kids pool for the younger ones, the pool water being warm and crystal clear. The beach is a sandy bay with a very shallow incline into the calm sea. All the staff there were very helpful, friendly and efficient. Food was of a good quality though a bit more variety would be nice, but there’s no reheated leftovers, all is freshly cooked. There’s a separate selection for kids and the young at heart. The AI drinks were adequate for me, Leon being the draught beer, and KEO wines on tap. There’s a large terrace behind the reception where the evening entertainment is held, generally it was musicians and singers, but very good. Also a very efficient table service so you don’t even need to leave your chair. My only criticism is that if you don’t get there early, you’ll be sitting inside the air conditioned bar away from the entertainment. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve had on a holiday abroad and I slept very well. The rooms are very clean and air conditioned with a fridge to keep your things cool. There’s animators arranging things during the day but besides the musical entertainment at night, not much else in the evening. The hotel is a bit isolated from town do you’d need a taxi at night but during the day a very cheap and efficient bus service is available. All in all, I’d definitely recommend a stay here and thanks to all the staff who helped make it a lovely relaxing holiday.

We stayed at the Golden Coast Hotel in July for our daughters wedding on the 24th. The hotel was amazing, lovely and clean, great facilities and friendly staff. There was quite a few of us but we could always manage to get sunbeds together and clean pool towels everyday free of charge. The pool areas were kept tidy and well maintained. A very short distance down to the beach so plenty of time spent in the sea. There were other facilities in the hotel such as a spa, salon and a shop. There was a small games are with pool table and daily activities arranged by the entertainment staff such as water polo, darts etc. The superior sea view rooms were lovely, spacious and clean, great views across the pools and out to sea. There was some building work going on near to the hotel but barely noticeable and didnt cause any disruption. The restaurant was spacious, plenty of tables and plenty of choice. Staff were going round taking drinks orders all very friendly, chefs were on hand and filling up when items ran low. plenty of choice pastas, salads, meat and fish dishes and an array of desserts and fresh fruit. A lovely bar area with plenty of seating and comfy sofas where we all used to get together after we had eaten for a few drinks served by the bar staff who were always checking if we needed refills.. There was entertainment in the evening, singers, violinists and guitarist, all very relaxing. There was also an indoor entertainment area for the kids disco, bingo and karaoke which a few of our party took part in and stole the show. Snacks were available at the pool bar between certain hours when the restaurant was closed. There was also an Italian restaurant on thee complex. We were all inclusive but apparently there was an all inclusive plus which enabled you to have all the international drinks and not just the local ones. Cocktails were very good. The reason we were there was for the wedding and what a memorable experience that was ll all down to Felicity the Wedding Planner, she was amazing and went above and beyond in every aspect of the day. Right from the day that the wedding was booked Felicity was on hand to answer any questions, queries etc. She was so easy to communicate with and made the whole process completely painless. Our daughter Jodie had so many questions but Felicity was there to answer everything straight away and help in any way she could. I cannot praise her enough, her knowledge, professionalism, patience, her ability to make the whole day run like clockwork putting everyone at ease. She was on hand all day, keeping us informed every step of the way, dealing with all the legalities , what time the flowers would arrive and when the photographer was due, she was completely on it. The sea deck was trimmed up to perfection and after the ceremony it was transformed and made ready for the reception after we returned from the open top bus ride. The BBQ food was delicious. A great choice. Thankyou to the chefs and bar staff. Photographer and videographer were terrific, photos were spot on and the video brought all the happiness of the day straight back when we watched it. Felicity has become a friend and we always had a chat when she was around. So approachable. Lovely person and so easy to get on with. In my daughters words she was BEAUT!! and the whole day was BANGING!! Ha! Thankyou Felicity for all your hard work, and made it such a memorable, lovely, unforgettable experience. We will never forget and hopefully stay in touch. Hopefully we will be out there to see you again. Lorraine, Graham and the whole wedding party.
