A jewel of a cottage tucked away in idyllic countryside. The house is available for rent and sleeps 8. Alternatively you can stay B&B. The owner, Sasha, will take great care of you and is full of local knowledge. She will recommend places to eat and give you guidance on where to find lovely walks. She works with local producers bringing you only the best quality to her breakfasts. Superbly comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms and a breakfast to dine for. Grade II listed, 16th Century village house. Rural location, very quiet but a fabulous village pub round the corner - The Crown Inn serving good food and fine wine, a "Detectorists" location! King size, Mahogany beds with pocket sprung mattresses, Egyptian cotton linen; sympathetically designed but contemporary en suite bathrooms. Being only 3 minutes off the A12, Crown House is ideally placed to explore the Suffolk Coast. Only 10 mins to Framlingham (very attractive market town with a medieval castle)15 mins to Aldeburgh, 10 minutes from The Snape Maltings, 20 minutes to Orford and 30 minutes to Southwold. The produce for the breakfast is locally sourced and includes award winning artisan sourdough from the Pump Street Bakery in Orford, the Aldeburgh breakfast sausage & bacon from craft butcher Salter & King, coffee cured smoked salmon and kippers from award winning Maximus fish and homemade jellies, jams, award winning marmalades and fruit compotes. Hosted by Sasha and 2 super friendly Boston Terriers that can't wait to meet you!

Just returned from a fantastic weekend staying at Crown House. Sasha is a delightful host, very warm and welcoming - we felt right at home straight away. Big comfy bed, lovely hot shower and a delicious fresh breakfast. We stayed in the Garden Room and had private use of the lounge which was a nice bonus. Everything was absolutely faultless - the house and gardens are wonderful. Highly recommended!

Sasha provided us a heart warming service in her beautiful and very comfortable home. Her breakfasts are to die for and her marmalade is 5 star! Her local knowledge is excellent and was invaluable - we enjoyed some lovely walks and excellent eating out. We certainly look forward to another visit!

Fabulous home cooked food and excellent all round service, friendly staff. Excellent value. Seating available both indoors and outsoors.Parking available. Also used for filming of some of the detectorists programme.

Fantastic breakfasts, comfortable bed, afternoon tea on arrival, fascinating old house. Sasha is an outstanding host, friendly and helpful. Sasha is a star hostess, making us so welcome we instantly relaxed and felt we were staying with an old friend.The house is enchanting, comfortable beds and beautifully decorated.The breakfasts were superb accompanied by good chat, helpful advice on the locality and what's on at present. So much to do in the area from great walks, wildlife, music, art exhibitions and historical places of interest.We stayed 4 days and returned home reinvigorated!! Many thanks Sasha

Three wonderful nights with Sasha and the dogs. A perfect respite following a hectic time at work. King-size bed, a walk-in shower, a comfortable sitting-room and excellent breakfasts in a gorgeous 16th century house. Spotlessly clean and real attention to detail especially in sourcing award-winning local ingredients for breakfast. Lovely local pub across the road. Ideal base to explore Aldeburgh, Orford, Sutton Hoo, Framlingham and the suffolk coast. Particularly good range of local eateries especially the Unruly Pig for the best chateaubriand. Expect a warm welcome and every effort to ensure you get the most from your stay.

A beautiful comfortable house in a beautiful part of Suffolk. The beds and bedlinen sooo comfy as was the whole house. We were self catering but had such a warm and friendly welcome from Sasha who was always near to help with information about the area but was also completely unobtrusive. We had a wonderful restorative week and look forward to a return visit.

I spent three lovely days at The Crown House. Recieved such a warm welcome from host Sasha. Coming from London, it was the best way to have some calm time away from the city immersed in the wonderful Suffolk countryside. I loved the breakfast and cosy feel of the house. The bed was divinely comfortable and I had time to explore all of the nearby spots including bracing local walks and a trip to Aldeburgh with lovely sunsets and sea views. There's so much to see and do all very closeby, I would highly reccommend staying here. Other highlights included the view over the hills in the morning from my roll-top bath and Sasha and the dogs' warmth and hospitality.

From the moment Sasha greeted me at the train station, I knew I was in special hands. I immediately felt at home with her and her terriers in the beautiful Crown House. Several of us gathered under her roof to enjoy concerts at Snape Maltings, and she made the entire experience not only one to remember but one to return to—often. The beds are to die for and the made-to-order breakfasts a great treat. Sasha even cooked a delicious late meal for us after one of the concerts and packed the leftover tart for us for the next day. I cannot recommend Crown House more highly. I am eager to make another reservation.

We spent three days in Sasha's wonderful, tranquil property. Although described as a B&B, staying here feels more like visiting an old friend. In the morning, we were treated to the most delicious breakfasts (trying almost everything on the menu at least once!) and in the evening were able to relax by a roaring fire. The village is well placed to reach all the local popular spots for amazing walks, beaches and small towns for local independent shops as well as fantastic restaurants (with the whole spectrum from pub food to Michelin stars). We would thoroughly recommend staying here and hope to do so again in the future.
