All the positive comments in other reviews about the comfort and ambience of Chateau de Sarceaux are perfectly true. We have stayed there ourselves on three or four previous occasions. We had booked this Chateau for an overnight stay on our way to Calais. Its a family home that has been owned by the current family for 7 generations. The chateau has been in the same family's hands for 6 generations! It is beautifully maintained and the owners (The Marquis and Marquise) are fastidious in the hospitality they offer. Don't come here if you want the ordinary! This wonderful Chateau provides a unique blend of style, excellence, great atmosphere and friendliness. It felt like a return to the days of weekends in country houses. We were treated like royalty (diner was preceded by champagne in the drawing room) and can find nothing to complain about.
