Nadette and Claude the owners are turning this place into a family-like refuge. Their hospitality is highly appreciated. I don’t eat Ham so Nadette took care to find me alternative food options. The food itself was delicious and plentiful. The refuge is clean and highly maintained. Hot water is available throughout the day. It was the best refuge we stayed...

I visited in April ski touring with my brother and a guide, it was such an excellent experience that I decided to return for the first and last night of a week's hiking in the area at the end of August. The welcome couldn't be better, the food was excellent and plentiful, the beer was cold and crisp on a...

You can spend the night there too. You need 50-60 minutes from the parking - 326 m up for 1.5 km. About 3 km after Le Nevache there is a sign on the...

Really hot trekking day when almost dying of thirst - came across this refuge and thank goodness - any food and drink would have been welcome at this stage - thank you for the hospitality and the nourishment after such a tough day

This is a fabulous little spot, easily accessible from Nevache. Once there you will be greeted by Claude and Bernadette who have lovingly restored the refuge and keep it absolutely ship shape. They take great pride in their food and they also offer a surprisingly good wine list (given that they are up in the mountains!)
