Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wee gem!! Found as a lot of the dog friendly places in Dunkeld fully booked. Found last minute just off the A9. Looking for a place to have lunch (inside) with two dogs. Bankfoot Inn welcomed us. We sat in the bar area which was clean and comfy. Menu really good and very reasonably priced. We both had a started & main. Stuffed! Homemade soup at £4!! Other items on the menu homemade - a wee gem! We’ll be back!

Got to tell you, i loved thos place. Had googled hotels on A9, saw The Bankfoot Inn and figured even i could find it. Well not only i find it, but i ll look for it again. The place had a nice feel to it as soon as myself and wife walked in. Friendly staff showed us to our room, room 2. Good sized room, spacious bathroom, bottled water and tea/coffee facilities with biscuits. We dined too, a substantial menu with plenty of tempting treats. Add a few pints of draught cider and a few Hendricks Gins and we had cracked it. Happy to recommend...top marks

We came here for an overnight stay and to have dinner and it exceeded all of our expectations. The inn is beautifully done up, the bar areas, restaurant and the rooms are all decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean and fresh. We enjoyed the festive menu and all the food we had was delicious from dinner to the lovely breakfast in the morning. The staff were welcoming and friendly and there was a very nice relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. The prices at the bar were extremely reasonable and we couldn’t believe the overall value of the stay. I really couldn’t praise this inn enough, everything about it was top notch and we will definitely return and would highly recommend it to others!

Stayed here after searching for somewhere reasonably near to the A9 north of Perth as were going to Perth Races next day. The staff were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Our twin room was spacious and the beds very comfortable with good duvets. The evening meal was good pub food which was just what we wanted. We would certainly choose to stay there again if a suitable occasion arose.

I`ll keep this fairly short. We were here at the Bankfoot Inn for a family birthday midweek. FANTASTIC.. The service, menu and food were all very, very good. We had a fantastic evening and will certainly be returning. Thank you to everyone there.

Now I know why it is so difficult to get a room at this hotel. Just back from an overnight stay and both our room and public area's were spotless. It looks like the restaurant and public bar area's have been given a makeover recently and were lovely. The room we stayed in was large with a massive bed with walk in shower and plenty of fluffy towels. We ate both dinner and breakfast and both were 1st class. All the staff we met were friendly and made us feel welcome. It may have been our first stay at the Bankfoot Inn, but it won't be our last. Thanks Jackie & Kev.

We have stayed at the Bankfoot twice recently and both stays were exceptional. The vegetarian food is delicious and well-presented, and Ossian beer was excellent. Rooms are spacious with tasteful relaxed decor and beds are very comfortable. The bar and restaurant have lovely features, the stained glass in particular. The friendliness of the staff make the Bankfoot what it is, they have time for you even when they are very busy. We'll definitely be returning!

Lovely old pub, I can see why it won 4 in a bed. The breakfast was top class, dinner was average (several of the items were unavailable). The room was excellent, clean with character and a great shower. The only disappointment was the absence of real ale as the website showed 3 hand pumps and it has been in the good beer guide. Excellent value for money though.

First visit to the Bankfoot inn and certainly won’t be the last. Beautiful, cosy place and dog friendly. Friendly staff and the menu catered for all tastes. I chose the macaroni cheese dish and I wasn’t disappointed.

So glad we found this place! Lovely room, comfy bed and wonderful staff. The food was also excellent! We spent half the evening in the locals bar and the latter half in the dining room and met some great people. Thank you to all the people we met at Bankfoot Inn! We will be back!
