Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our visit was in celebration of my birthday, we had a beautiful room on the corner with a small garden in the front. The room was decorated with gorgeous furniture and immaculately clean.
Our time there was truly magical due to the staff at the hotel. They were kind, friendly, spoke several languages, and were extremely helpful in giving us some unique suggestions on places to visit or restaurants that were truly memorable. I was especially happy to be able to bring my small dog. Plenty of free parking, so you can park your car and explore the town. You don’t need to drive anywhere on the town, all walking distances.
The breakfast was filling and the cappuccino was delicious.
Thank you, we can wait to come back.

What a beautiful old building with views over the town and the clock tower, lit up at night it is so romantic.
Our room was large and comfortable with plenty of windows for views and fresh air.
Staff are wonderful and a great breakfast was laid on the next motning.
The area is very hilly with steps everywhere so make sure you are sure footed.

Really unexpected to find such a charming hotel close to Rimini area. In the center of Santarcangelo, a beautiful small town, still quiet at night. Perfectly renovated old house, we had a nice room with pleasant views on the roofs up to the sea. Excellent home made cakes at breakfast. The owners are really taking care of their guests. We hope to return.

My grandfather was born in Santarcangelo and migrated to the United States in the early 1900's. My mother and father have never been to Italy, so we decided to take a family trip this summer to explore our family history. Hotel Il Villino was the perfect hotel to start our trip and use as a base to explore this charming village of Santarcangelo... we had 8 of the 12 rooms for two nights. The staff at Hotel Il Villino was fantastic! The continental breakfast was exactly enough to fuel us for the start of our day. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. It was a two minute walk to fantastic restaurants from the hotel.

We came back after 4 years with our daughter and was stunned again by beauty of this hotel, garden and staff. Everything was perfect as we knew it from before. Kind and helpful owner and staff, delicious breakfast with local products, romantic rustical rooms. Our daughter loved it as well as us. For these who still do not know beauty of Santarcangelo, just to mention, that hotel is really at the centre of everything important (centro, bars, restaurants etc.). Of course we are going back soon, so do the same. Thank you again Il Villino.

We have been staying at Il Villino twice a year for about the last 3 years now. We travel back and forth with our 2 dogs between the UK and Greece and Saintarcangelo us our preferred stop off after leaving the ferry in Ancona. The staff are always friendly and extremely helpful and very welcoming to our dogs. They always try and accommodate us in one of the garden rooms, so Hamish and Betty can wander out in some fresh air. However on this occasion they went above and beyond for us when we discovered that our car wouldn't start. They called a mechanic who turned up very quickly and got the car going. But then refused to take payment from us and paid on our behalf!! That is true customer service. We will be back in October.

We have stayed at this hotel before and wanted to visit Santarchangelo again and we would only stay at this hotel. The staff is very helpful and goes out of their way to provide any help that they can. Our ride from the train station to the hotel was not there and they had someone come and pick us up. With the train station being closed in town, Jessica was most helpful in helping us arrange and get train tickets for the next part of our vacation. Breakfast is served outside on the patio and garden area. The hotel is very close to town and just a short 100m walk to Ganganelli Square. In fact everything is within a comfortable walking distance of the hotel (restaurants, shops, church, etc.). Two rooms to consider are the Camera del Pavone and the Camera del Fagiano. Excellent rooms.

Situated just outside the medieval walled city of Sanarchangelo this small hotel has a friendly staff, economical rates and a tasty breakfast. The hotel has been modernized without losing the charm of its origins. We stayed there for three days and enjoyed the grounds and the town. We would stay there again.

The hotel is located near the historic centre of the charming town Santarcangelo di Romagna. If you arrive by car you have to drive through the centre which is normally reserved for residential traffic. Be sure to give the hotel your licence plate number or you might receive a fine by the Italian authorities some time later. On the hotel grounds there is a parking option for a few cars which sufficed for the entire week I was staying there. The Rimini Fiera is only a 10 minute drive away.
The hotel is very charming. All rooms are individually designed and are dominated by the rustic charm of the old building. Breakfast is served in the garden area, with a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt and croissants among other things, accompanied by very good coffee from an espresso machine. The proprietor and the employees are very cordial and forthcoming.
It takes just 5 minutes by foot to reach the centre of the town with some shops, cafés and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
