Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic campsite! Wonderful views, great facilities, located in a very picturesque village, (can recommend Curry night at The Red Lion) ... Helpful, friendly owners. What's not to like! We're hoping to return for longer in a few weeks time.

Excellent sized hard standing pitch, very clean facilities and well stocked fishing pool. Great access to Pembridge and local area such as Hereford, Elan Valley and Ryader. Already booked again for October. Looking forward to farm shop and cafe being up and running.

What a lovely spot. The pods are beautiful and were toasty warm even on a rainy cold March. The little heater did a great job. The site is lovely and the facilities are spotless. The village is so great with a pub, a cafe, a shop and a pizza takeaway (fri and sat 5-8pm). The owners were very friendly and we had a fab time. Highly recommend. We’ll def be going back. Tips - fantastic vegan pizza at the takeaway and beautiful vegan breakfasts at the cafe.

Room Tip: It’s a little muddy after all the rain so some spare shoes like crocs or wellies are helpful...

Nice quiet little site. Well maintained and very close to a lovely village with 2 pubs and a great Pizza place for takeaways. Very very wet but hard standing coped well. Best thing ever were the fabulous hot showers with a very long timer on them, oh, and a good hairdryer! Would recommend

This was a Very nice site , good clean facilities but the reason for the score is that we were there only ones there and it seemed that the site wasn't ready for visitors. I am sure that it will improve further into the season , Not the sites fault will try again later in the year.

Response from Su Smith, Owner at Townsend Touring Park
Responded 4 days ago
Thank you for choosing to stay at Townsend. Unfortunately the weather hasnt been kind this winter or spring and therefore you are quite right the park doesnt look its best without its bi-weekly mow, the grass is a bit longer, however the mowers are ready and staff keen for some dry weather and to get the park looking ship shape again. We are sure you will notice the difference on your next visit .
