Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely stay, went to the dog walking area at top field which says enclosed, thought this was great as our dog doesn't always listen when called back especially when they spot something , but we noticed there's a gate going onto golf course which could be fenced off like rest of fencing around as dogs can easily get through, also at end of that area it just goes around behind trees which is also open. Lovely area but could do with being a little bit more secure.

.The staff when we booked in were very helpful and friendly. The caravan was lovely, the views and surroundings were also very nice. Unfortunately the Club hose/ bar restaurant let the whole site down, the list is far too long to tell you everything. Please sort out the clubhouse and we would return it’s the only thing that lets you down

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback here on Trip Advisor, we really appreciate it. We are pleased to hear that you found our self-catering property "lovely" and that you enjoyed the parks had views and surroundings. However, we are very saddened to hear that the Lakeside Bar and Bistro was not up to standard. We will pass this feedback along and look into it further.

We came here for a peaceful 3 night break with our dog and stayed in a 2 bed caravan. The park is gorgeous, peaceful, the staff are very helpful, everybody says hello and are so friendly. We will definitely be coming back. Some more benches are needed particularly in and around the dog exercise area but that's our only minor gripe.

Lovely caravan park with a very nice bar on site. Unfortunately the touring park is feet away from the road running through the village and traffic starts early so we were woken up by the noise before 7am most mornings. There is a lovely field to exercise your dog and if the touring park is ever moved next to that (there was a large grassy area by the dog field) we would definitely be back.

Thanks for your feedback! We really appreciate it and we're glad you liked so much about the park. We're gutted the road noise spoiled your stay with us though. We do say on our website that there's a B road running through the village past the touring area and we do try to make all our guests aware of this when booking over the phone. However, there are certain times of the year when the road is busier than usual with agricultural traffic. We've also spoken to the local authority about the state of the road. The good news is that we have two sister parks with great touring pitches away from any roads - Arrow Bank and Rockbridge. They're a 15-minute drive from Pearl Lake and you can use all the great Pearl Lake facilities when staying on them

We are in a touring caravan part. The noise from the road is horrendous and starts about 4.30 am, with lorries trundling past. Caravan pitches back onto the road. No ;privacy between pitrches. Each caravan has a hard standing pitch and grass next tp it and yet we have a couple n ext to us that have taken over our grass, be4cause they have not parked their van properly. Walking backwards and forwards past our awning to their car, water and electric cables sited on our grass. clean ing their caravan and car, talking loudly all the time. No consideration for us sitting outside. There needs to be small hedges put between pitches. I thought you were not allowed to clean your caravan or car here. !!! Totally inconsiderate people. Yet no staff have checked if all vans are sited correctly. Surely these people m ust kniow its our grass and they have theirs the other side. I would never ever come back here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're so sorry you found your recent stay at Pearl Lake less than satisfactory. With regard to the inconsiderate neighbours you found yourself parked next to - our staff would have been more than happy to talk to them and ask them to re-site their tourer or car within the designated space. You're right, we don't allow washing of cars and vans in the touring area and anyone 'caught in the act' is asked to stop - again our staff would have been happy to help. Please do come and see us during your stay if there is anything that is spoiling your holiday. The road outside is not normally busy from 4.30am but of course can be busier at certain times rather than others. If you're staying in this area again, we have two sister parks - Arrow Bank and Rockbridge - both of which have larger, quieter touring areas and are well away from any main roads - so we do hope you will consider them. All the details here www.discoverparks.co.uk

We have had a lovely Sunday at Pearl Lake. A beautiful walk around the lake, seeing the swans and listening to the birds. Followed by a very tasty and generous portion of Sunday dinner. We highly recommend it here, and the staff are so welcoming.

We came to this site because we had been to a sister site. We will not be coming back. It is a beautiful site if you have a holiday chalet, but for tourers a BIG NO NO, We were 6o ft from a road which was EXTREMELY noisy, so much so it made me JUMP on a few occasions in our motor home and if we had been opposite us (20ft from the road even worse! It wasn’t just tractors with trailers (yep harvest time) it was the lorries as well, hubby heard them in the night and it all started again 7 in the morning! ! 7 min (timed it) walk to a local shop, lots of stuff but Xpensive. Lovely welcome by receptionist who surprisingly was at the other sister site, who drove us round the whole site in a golf cart, when and if they move the tourer bit would be much more inviting to tourers. Walked round the lake, good if you have dog or dogs, don’t get to see a lot of the lake. A site really for chalet owners, with lots going for it but not for us, won’t be visiting again. £25 with elec and could get tv by our motor homes aerial.
