we stayed for four nights at the end of October, our room was comfortable , warm and clean. We ate each night in the pub and every meal was excellent, I would particularly recommend the duck with orange and the pie with butty bach ale should be attempted with a huge appetite !

Had a great stay at the Bateman Arms. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Even when there was a mix up with the rooms the staff sorted out the problem with no fuss whatsoever. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent . Will definitely return.

My son aged 11 and I made a special trip to the UK to visit my husband, who is staying at the Bateman Arms for work. We all stayed at The Bateman Arms for 7 nights in the family suite. Staying here for 7 nights was a major highlight of our 1 month holiday to the UK. The warm hospitality...

While we were visiting our daughter in Kent, we planned a weekend to Wales to see our son-in-law's sister. On other family's recommendations, we decided to stay at The Bateman Arms. Glad we did, we really enjoyed our stay. Room 5 was really large with three single beds. The room was well furnished and was very clean. The only complaint...

My wife and I (and our little Bijon) were in Leominster this week and were fortunate enough to spend the night at the Bateman Arms. This was a real treat. We both chose the vegetarian option which was superb and good value. Service was friendly and helpful, though, being a busy Saturday night, it wasn't as quick as we would have liked. Good ambience, whether eating or just drinking. Book a table if you want to eat.

We are lucky to have good chefs who take pride in what they present to our guests. To this end we do get very busy on the weekends so your advice to book in advance is appropriate. Sorry you had to wait but good things can't always be rushed, especially if there are 16 people in front of you.

Whilst staying in nearby Ledicot for a week's holiday we visited The Bateman Arms twice for food and twice just popped in for a drink, food was delicious and service from all the staff was absolutely excellent.

As soon as we arrived and said we had a reservation, the landlord knew who we were.Well looked after by a young man called Ben and we met some lovely people there. top notch bitter.Good food but the curry was too creamy for my liking so not 5 stars. Otherwise, great visit in a splendid area.

Thanks for the review Geoff. Glad the Ale hit the spot even if the curry didn't quite do it for you.

Lovely food, lovely staff and lovely atmosphere. Everything you want in a pub when with friends. Good quality food with a great selection. Same with the beer, plenty of selection of local ales. Pub is busy but not over crowded or loud. Will be back more often.
