The Black Diamond Lodge and team were fantastic; from accommodating our late arrival on a Friday evening, to the great service provided throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely every day. We stayed in a twin room which was perfect for a couple of mates. Free covered parking was nice bonus. Ski rental and the uplift just a short walk. Ski to door (bar!) at the end of the day. The pool, sauna and steam room soothed the aches each day. The lodge is 'traditionally modern' whilst being warm and cosy. Great views from every aspect. With a car we accessed lifts to Les Arcs, Tignes or Val D'isere within about 20 minutes. We did a day in each, plus Sainte Foy which is a hidden gem of a ski resort...Overall, perfect.

Black Diamond Lodge owners and staff are very friendly and attentive and the hotel is extremely inviting with its cosy, comfortable rooms. It is set in the perfect location near to the ski station with the added bonus of being able to ski right back to the doorstep. The breakfast is very good and I would highly recommend the restaurant, serving gorgeous food. It has a lovely relaxed bar area. The spa area and hot tubs are great to relax into after a great ski day. Having stayed here 3 times already, we will definatley be back. It is equally a great place during the summer months too. Beautiful scenery all year round. Fabulous as always!!

We love our stays at Black Diamond (We are a family of 6 with age ranges of 10-19) and enjoy the welcome we get from Rachel and Peter. I have lost track of how many times we have stayed now. My kids have their set bedrooms they like. It's the correct balance of luxury and relaxed feel to the place. The hot tub on the balcony is wonderful. The food works well- we like the evening meal served in the lodge as we enjoy our own family time and the fire time afterwards. But do enjoy breakfast and afternoon cake in the restaurant. I appreciate the flexibily- like treatments in your room if you want and meal times picked by you. It's a place you don't mind asking if this or that is possible because the answer is yes they can make it work. You should bear in mind its at the top of lot of stairs so you need to be be prepared for that after skiing and your legs are tired. It has worked well when my kids were young and is still working well as they have grown up.

I organised a group holiday at Black Diamond Lodge in June 2022.
Everything was superb and I would just like to pass on my personal appreciation to the hotel staff, Santiago and Adrian, and to the chef, Kumari and walking guide Jonny. Santiago made everything so easy for us and always went the extra mile to make our stay as successful and comfortable as possible,, including catering for our very late arrival due to flight delays. Many thanks for looking after us so well. We loved our stay at Black Diamond Lodge and were most impressed by the standard of accommodation which made our stay so comfortable and relaxing.

High-end hotel complex (tested in the summer season). The decoration and atmosphere of the common areas (reception, restaurant, relaxation room, terrace, etc.) are calming places, although mainly decorated for a winter atmosphere, but we liked this atmosphere even in the height of summer and in spite of the heat. Such an atmosphere after returning from a hike was just a real joy! We stayed for a week in a family room (1 double bed and 2 bunk beds) with bathroom (bathtub), this room was also very comfortable with a terrace giving direct access to the outside (which greatly facilitated our stay given that we had our dog), a small table with 2 chairs allowed us to enjoy the outside during the very mild evenings. The service was impeccable from the beginning to the end of our stay. We were also able to taste the restaurant's dishes twice during our stay and the menu was not very large, which comforted us in the freshness of the products, which was confirmed: delicious meal!!! The breakfast was also very good with a very good choice: different kinds of cereals, pastries, bread, cake or brownies, fruit, juices, yogurts, ... A very pleasant bar with a terrace to have an aperitif, even our dog was entitled to his aperitif :). The staff took great care of the 5 of us (2 adults, 2 children and our dog). The only downside was for my partner and my children, regarding the language, the staff spoke little French. Without forgetting the swimming pool and the SPA area including sauna, hammam and jacuzzi, which are still advantages at this hotel, because the children loved going for a swim after a good day of hiking.

Spent a wonderful 5 nights at The Black Diamond lodge and had such an amazing time. The hotel is perfectly positioned for easy access to the slopes - about a 5 minute walk or a free shuttle bus. And should you wish to eat out there also a variety of restaurants within 5 minutes too. Why, you would want to eat out though is another question! The food is delicious and I love that you order your meal from the comfort of your seat in the lounge whilst enjoying the warmth of a roaring fire. Once your meal is ready then you are showed to your table. A very relaxing touch we found. The facilities at the hotel are excellent, we didn’t use the spa but were fortunate to be blessed with a hot tub on one of the two balconies our room had. Sitting at the end of the day on our balcony, in the sunshine whilst admiring the Mountain View’s were one of my highlights of the stay. Of course, the ski g was great too! Our thanks go to the entire Black Diamond team. The whole team were exceptional and they did everything to make your trip enjoyable. Thank you especially to Harry, Kat, Anastasia and Storm who were great hosts. We will definitely return.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful place. We stayed in the Presidential suite which was lovely. Whilst not really a ‘suite’ as such, the room was very large and comfortable with a seating/small dining area and a large bath behind the huge bed overlooking the mountains. The 2 balconies were exceptional, offering amazing mountain views from both. To cap it all, one balcony had a private hot tub - lying there after a day’s skiing, aperitif in hand, looking at the sun setting over the mountains was out of this world. All the staff were amazing. Friendly, kind and very helpful and also professional. Laura gave us the best welcome we’ve ever had anywhere! A hearty breakfast, with lots of choice, every morning is included. We ate dinner in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was very well thought out and tasty. We were also delighted with the spacious public rooms. This was a very special holiday for us and Black Diamond did not disappoint. I’m not sure we shall ever be able to afford our suite again ( it’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for) but we’ve already started saving up for next year! A great location even for non skiers. Plenty to do near the chalet. We stayed in chalet Condor which was perfect for our family of 5. We had an issue with Wifi which was quickly sorted out, and were offered use of the bar/lounge in the interim. The staff were friendly and happy to help with any requests. We were self catered, however we also ate in the Restaurant which served great food, and the bar was a comfortable, social area

This was our second visit to the Black Diamond Lodge and it didn't disappoint. The lodge is simply stunning and set in the most perfect location. The interior has a true alpine feel with it's beautiful log fire and design. The food in both the restaurant and the bar was outstanding and the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble... a lovely team. Our hosts Rachel and Peter made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived .. it certainly won't be the last visit.

Super Chalet within the Black Diamond Lodge property - the Team here coped amazingly with all that was going on- Covid restrictions, travel bans for UK travellers, staff sickness (or isolation) absence etc. Always flexible, nothing too much trouble and still smiling.
