They have two elephants. I had a package that included the cultural show, safari on elephant and jeep, river ride and jungle walk with a guide which...

We did not want to go on the elephant safari due to ethical reasons (please don't ride the elephants folks!) and the staff very easily changed our booking to a jeep and canoe safari instead. Hotel rainforest is the good hotel in Sauhara. I stayed there couple of times with my family and freinds. Especially, the accomodation is the best quality. I like the wide and neat and clean room of this new building. Some of the the stafffs that i know by name like Buddhiram chaudari, Aarpan bhai are the most knowledgeable and helpful.

Having sponsored a few local lads and helped them open their first hotel 40 years ago, one of those boys/men now owns and runs Rainforest. Bob works to find sponsorship for the education of locals and has done/continues...

Our agent (Mountain Mart Trekking in Kathmandu) arranged a lot of activities with Rainforrest Hotel. evening walk, sunset, elephant safari, local cultural dancing, boattrip and junglewalk. some were little to touristic. Good planning and guide. The elephant ride in the jungle brougth us a serious rhino fight before our eyes. Increddible experience!!
