Came here on a skiing holiday , hotel is handy for the bus to the slopes. The hotel is old and dated and in need of a complete refit but it is cheap. No boot room to dry your skiing gear and radiators barely give out any heat. But restaurant was the real let down, I was eating a tagliatelle...

Actually for a two star hotel this is not a bad wee hotel. It's two star but the rooms are fine and clean. The restaurant was very very good. You should try the restaurant if you stay here. Here's another very positive thing it's 50 yards from the bus stop where the ski bus stops!! We used the hotel to...

The other reviews assessing it as basic are accurate. It is basic, and not clean in places. The stairway flooring was grubby, with beds and mattreses stored at the top landing. The rooms could do with refreshing. Our room had some mould on the shower sealant. Breakfast is OK, self-service, cereals, breads, eggs, cheeses and meats. Can't comment on the...

Very similar thoughts to others. We liked plenty and would happily go back Location - great for lifts and bars Staff - helpful and friendly Value for money - It is 2 star, basic but priced correctly Breakfast - plentiful and decent enough choice Less good Rooms were a tad tired and basic. Some of our group had showers that...

Difficult one this. The hotel is in a very good location for Morzine and Avoriaz if you have your own transport. From the outside it is a typical alpine lodge. Inside the staff are very friendly and helpful. However the staircase is very shabby and grubby and the rooms are very basic. Having said that we slept very well in...

Back again for another 1 night stay this year after last year. The rooms are basic but comfy and most have 3 beds in. Breakfast is basic but the food in the evening is superb local Savoyarde fayre and a good wine list, never come across a red Sancerre before but it was superb. Would be happy to stay again...

We stayed here for one night en route to Morzine and would certainly return. Basic accommodation, smallish rooms and dated decor but, for the very reasonable price, clean and remarkably comfortable so absolutely no complaints - decidedly not 4 star but only the most misguided would be expecting those standards for the room rate charged. The staff were exceptionally friendly...

Brilliant breakfast after a terrible night. The bedroom was furnished by disgustingly old and poor items the two single beds that had been pushed together were the smallest imaginable. If they were 5'6" long I would be amazed and the mattresses were thin and about 5' 3" long. They were less than 2' 6" wide. APPALING is the word. Breakfast...

This is a great restaurant for all the family and we have used it lots of times over the past 9 years. It has always offered friendly service and as one other review said great value along with genuine Savoyarde dining, and to be honest when you have had a long day walking or on the slopes it is exactly...

Inexpensive, clean, practical and good food. I booked for two but my (adult) daughter decided to come. No hassle, they found us a family room and just charged a small fee for the extra bed. Other more strict hotels would require a separate room for an adult child.

“Ask if there are any ski tours organised. Etienne the owner regularly invites guests to join his friends for the day - great sking, food and drink. If your lucky your final run will be by moonlight and escallope Foie Gras will be on the menu back at the Mont Rond. Heaven”

“Just speak to the staff and explain your requirements; back and front rooms each have their merits-depends whether you want a view of the valley or the village and church. Nothing is too much trouble for Etienne and Fanny.”
