Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked and stayed in the Queen Suite that includes a 4poster bed.... apart from it doesn't, the poster part has been removed. The room was tatty and old looking. Service was poor and my complaint wasn't dealt with just simply ignored. My partner had lipstick on his glass at breakfast. None of the staff were friendly or welcoming. We also were asked to pay for a dog....we don't own a dog.

Great welcome from Tesh who made sure we were well looked after, including our pug who did not want to leave. Nice big comfortable room, we stayed in the Sherbourne Suite. Really enjoyrd the great food and service from the friendly team. Good location for Stow and Bourton on the water. Highly recommended.

We stayed in December, we were in Millies, it was dated, scruffy and outdated. The bath was broken - I hurt my leg on the broken edge of the bath (a deep scratch, still to heel). For what we paid it was highly disappointing. Very limited hospitality tray, no water, no hot chocolate - a cup of tea each! Not dog friendly as advertised, dog accepting, nothing provided for dog. Food was OK, overcharged on bill for room for drinks already paid for at time of purchase. Breakfast OK, limited and nothing special. Stunning area and quaint building, sadly that doesn't excuse the poor quality we experienced. Would not recommend or return.

A warm welcome from the moment we arrived. The pub is warm and welcoming and the food was amazing. We stayed in room 12 which is one of the converted stables. The room was very warm and cozy and beautifully decorated. It was ideal for us with the dogs as there is a small court yard directly outside. I would definitely return here and 100% recommended.

Booked last minute as a stopover so arrived about 6pm. Plenty of parking, although very dark and hard to find with little signal in the area. My room wasn’t what I expected, it was tiny and a bit dingy, I think there had been a description issue on Booking.com, but the room was changed for me, it would have been tricky if they had been full. The inn is full of charm and character, complete with wonky floors and low ceilings. I’m only 5 ft 8, but my head touched the ceiling when stood in the shower. The bed was really comfy, bedlinen and towels nice quality. The woodwork however, looks really old and tatty, even where it isn’t down to age. There was no heating on in the bedroom or bathroom but luckily it wasn’t too cold even though November. I found a hairdryer in the room, but nothing to plug it into as it was a 2 point plug. I think they need to invest in an extractor fan in the kitchen, as I spent some time in the bar in the evening and my hair and clothes ended up smelling like a greasy spoon cafe. On arrival at breakfast I was impressed by the space and quality of the Breakfast. Would have been nice if there had been staff around to welcome me and let me know where to get coffee etc.

Visited here enroute around Britain in November with our dog. Staff were very nice, meal was superb. The pub is a bit isolated, but its the Cotswolds. Bar is slightly small, but it adds to the quaintness of it all. Yes, we would return.

Stayed at the Lamb Inn recently and it's a great location to explore the Cotswolds. We had a double room which was cosy but clean and comfortable. You do have to watch your head though - the ceilings and doorways are very low but the inn is over 300 years old. The best part was most definitely the food - we ate here both nights we stayed and it was superb. The breakfast was also fantastic - lots of choice and really good quality. Highly recommended 👌

Stayed here for a couple of nights as a base to explore the Cotwolds. While it is about 5 km away from Bourton on the Water so pretty isolated I think this adds to the charm. We stayed in the Windrush suite which is in the apex of the room. The room was nice, fairly large and nice bathroom, however watch out for the low beams as I banged my head a few times. The staff were super friendly. We really enjoyed our dinner both nights in the pub, The dishes were definitely worthy of a gastro-pub. Breakfasts were also very good. Also given its location plenty of locals enjoying a drink with dogs in tow, added to the charm. The place has its own carpark. Overall a nice, secluded place to stay in the Cotwolds. Definitely recommend, even if you are just visiting for a meal or drink.
