Our second time staying in the The Chateau/Penthouse. Overall very satisfied with our stay. The new furniture is comfy and adds new character to the room.

Only issues we had were: the kitchen sink drain, which drained slowly/was blocked & the shower drain, which did not drain f

awesome location and very relaxing. Great to be greeted by the living lawn mowers of an alpaca group followed by a proper greeting and brief tour at the reception area. After a brief settle in we used our own kayak down the short walk to the water for a paddle and a swim. Having

The place was fantastic, and the room was amazing!! The bed was ridiculously comfortable that we were tempted to sleep for days. We were in the river view suite and the huge bath had a fantastic view. We came away from our little get away super happy and very relaxed. This place

Hi we have booked 2 nights in the penthouse suite, for early October. We are stayingI mid week so no meal available. We have purchased a BBQ pack for 1 night ( what is the quality of the pack like) But would love a nice place for dinner the 2nd night. Can someone suggest a nice restaurant that is relaxing and quiet.
The Tin Shed in lithgow is a lively cafe. Not sure if it does dinner but the food is good if they do. Alternatively you could order the cheese platter and pick up some cold meats and make your own mezzo plate and sit outside and enjoy the view from your balcony and have a few wines on site :-)

Wanting to take my wife here in August . Is it unbearably cold? What is access by car like ?- will I need chains for snow? Any advise from someone who has stayed in winter would greatly appreciated
Located in the Blue Mountains of NSW, the winter days are an average of about 10 degrees, with overnight lows of about 2 degrees. Snowfall is rare, chains are by no means a necessity. Winter in the Blue Mountains is a beautiful time - warm baths & gas log fires ☺

Hi, Can you let me know where is the nearest horse riding to Eagle View Escape? and what other activites is around? Any restaurants that are near this escape? Thank you.Linda.
Hi Linda, Thank you for your questions :) High Country Trail Rides would be a popular option amongst our guests. They can be contacted on 0427470247. In terms of other activities, we are a good base for those that choose to do day trips to places such as Jenolan Caves; a trip to the Mayfield Gardens at Oberon; the sites of Bathurst; a nice winery at Mudgee; maybe a scenic bushwalk at Blackheath; boutique shopping at the township of Leura - just to name a few. In regards to dining, my suggestion would be to look up the 10 ten restaurants for the Blue Mountains on trip advisor - and see the results from those that have experienced the best! Whilst we are a somewhat isolated property, we are approx. 20 minute drive to the nearest township of Lithgow, or a 45 min drive to the heart of the mountains around Blackheath/Katoomba etc. Alternatively, should you prefer not to dine out, we have a selection of self prepare hampers available midweek, or a lovely 2 course meal, cooked and delivered to your suite, on weekends. Regards Robyn (owner)

Is there much to do in the area? For example, kayaking, bushwalking etc?
Yes there is plenty of bushwalking to be done. The property and area itself is surrounded by bushlands with lots of wildlife. There is also Lake Lyell where you could go for a picnic or enjoy water sports, provided you bring your own equipment (not sure if you can hire) There is also the Japanese Bathhouse which is a 5-10min drive from the property but you will need to make a booking to go here as numbers are limited. As for restaurants etc. you will need to drive back into Lithgow Town.
