I spent Valentine’s Day here with my girlfriend and had a wonderful time. The room was exceptional and very reasonably priced. It was a beautiful property to wander and we were fortunate enough to be greeted by alpacas and horses on arrival and during our stroll. It’d be hard to

It all started with a recommendation from a colleague of mine. And was quickly convinced with the decision to book in a reservation a surprise weekend away for my wife’s Birthday. Right from the word go I was impressed from the service over the phone, to the email confirmations

Our Wilderness Spa Cabins do have a view of the lake, but it is what we term a 'filtered' view, that is, you are looking through the surrounding trees through to the lake. The Wilderness Spa Cabins are self standing, individual cabins with a rustic feel (they are airconditioned as well as a gas log fire). No coffee machine. To have an uninterrupted view of the lake, that would be either one of our Lake View Spa Suites or our Valley View Suites. The Valley View Suites have recently been fully refurbished, and have a coffee machine. Neither of these room types are airconditioned, but both have gas log fires for the cooler months. Hope this is of some assistance 😊

The Tin Shed in lithgow is a lively cafe. Not sure if it does dinner but the food is good if they do. Alternatively you could order the cheese platter and pick up some cold meats and make your own mezzo plate and sit outside and enjoy the view from your balcony and have a few wines on site :-)

Located in the Blue Mountains of NSW, the winter days are an average of about 10 degrees, with overnight lows of about 2 degrees. Snowfall is rare, chains are by no means a necessity. Winter in the Blue Mountains is a beautiful time - warm baths & gas log fires ☺

Hi Linda, Thank you for your questions :) High Country Trail Rides would be a popular option amongst our guests. They can be contacted on 0427470247. In terms of other activities, we are a good base for those that choose to do day trips to places such as Jenolan Caves; a trip to the Mayfield Gardens at Oberon; the sites of Bathurst; a nice winery at Mudgee; maybe a scenic bushwalk at Blackheath; boutique shopping at the township of Leura - just to name a few. In regards to dining, my suggestion would be to look up the 10 ten restaurants for the Blue Mountains on trip advisor - and see the results from those that have experienced the best! Whilst we are a somewhat isolated property, we are approx. 20 minute drive to the nearest township of Lithgow, or a 45 min drive to the heart of the mountains around Blackheath/Katoomba etc. Alternatively, should you prefer not to dine out, we have a selection of self prepare hampers available midweek, or a lovely 2 course meal, cooked and delivered to your suite, on weekends. Regards Robyn (owner)
