Our Dragsholm weekend left us with mixed feelings. Some things are just great, others not good at all – most are somewhere in between. Still, our overall judgement is positive – thanks to the unique setting, an above average kitchen, a super breakfast and Dragsholm´s friendly staff. The biggest let-down was the restaurant staff at dinner service. The fine menu... More

Even the fact that my room was very old, there was a Hästens bed. One side was a soft madress and the other was hard. Nice and quite different to have this choice. Breakfast was lovely even the fact that is was brief and standard. All personnel were lovely and charming. No doubt that they love there jobs.

For a Norwegian it is always nice to go to Denmark and view some of all the stately homes and castles built while we were one country. And even better it is to actually stay there and have a gourmet meal! This can all be accomplished at Dragshom Slot and it is a very nice experience indeed. Be sure to... More

We liked staying in such an old place (circa 1215) although a bit over priced if you rated it on its accommodation without the history involved. That being said the gourmet dinner was amazing. Local produce, great flavours and attention to detail. Kitchen staff even presented some of the dishes proudly direct to the table. I can't rate the dinner... More

The grounds are lovely, the food is good, the rooms are fine, the castle is fun to explore and the environs (beach, biking, golf, etc) are fun and convenient. But, it's not. It's good but not great. Perhaps one could say it feels like a work in process. It's funny. They seem sort of surprised to have guests. They have... More

We stayed here for two nights, you can either choose a room in the castle or one in the out buildings which has it's own terrace. We opted for the latter as we wanted to sit outside. I can't comment on the rooms in the actual castle but our room was a bit tired looking and the bathroom could do... More

My wife and I stayed here on a recent trip to Denmark and found the hotel quaint and very pleasant. Place is really well run and in the middle of nowhere but the grounds and the countryside around are very attractive. A major plus is the stellar gourmet restaurant, though this is only open three days a week. We had... More

We were here for Anniversary party and had a lovely time. The accommodations were great with beautiful vice of the fields. The Rhododendron gardens were spectacular. The food was wonderful, fresh and made the dinner party unique event. We had a great tour before our event and loved learning all about the history and even the ghosts that show up... More

We were there the weekend of the castle's anniversary celebration. Our dinner at the restaurant in the super cool basement was an exquisite, aesthetic experience. I still dream of the creativity and the tastes -- even the herbed butter was beyond. There was a wedding with fireworks that same night and we were treated to fireworks that we watched from... More

We stayed overnight in this castle, some parts of which are 800 years old. It is frankly a bit shabby in places (hey 800 years!), but our room was modern and comfortable. We had a fine dinner in the more informal of the two onsite restaurants. After dinner, we wandered off to check out the various castle floors, the chapel,... More
