A tremendously well thought out ecolodge with impressive attention to detail, staying in this place really does feel like an adventure. As we booked direct through the lodge's website, we received an upgrade from an orchard room to staying in one of the Victorian train carriages. The train carriage has been superbly restored, maintaining its character whilst providing a very...

We stayed at the ecolodge over the weekend. Well worth a stay if you want to get out into the country but not have to travel too far. Bush turkeys and chickens cruising around the place gave it a really relaxing feel. The on-site management Brad and Desylie were spectacular though. Could not have been any friendlier or provided a...

This place is a little paradise! Calm, green all around, remarkable accommodations, friendly staff. We were lucky to stay in the church loft, really tasteful interior. It was a unique experience having this stopover in Glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge during our Queensland tour. We have appreciated the visit very much. Anton and Odile German/France couple

Stayed at this lodge for a weekend with my husbane. Guests were of varying ages. It was set in a peaceful bush setting, apparently planted by the owner. There were various bush walks and easy access to local hill climbs. The bed and pillow were very comfortable and a really lovely bathroom. Gardens had veggies and fruit and fruit trees...

Hi Jenny, Thank you for your thorough review you have posted, we are thrilled you both enjoyed your stay with us at Glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge. You are correct when noting that the owner planted all the fruit trees on the property, there are over 50 fruit trees in total that create the ambience of a peaceful bush setting as you...

Amazing place, beautiful garden and very friendly staff. Clean and well run. Humorous signs to be found everywhere. Great reuse of things such as the old train. Plenty of games, books, ... are offered. Unfortunately no dining options on the premises (except for pre cooked meals, breakfast is offered). Dinner during sunset on the deck of the train would be...

We recently stayed in the Church Loft. It is extremely spacious, quiet and comfortable. The location is very peaceful and it is an easy walk from the Eco Lodge to access two hikes at the base of Mount Tibrogargan, the shorter base walk and the more scenic and longer lookout walk. Breakfast is great value and served on the verandah...

We stayed for one night and were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised to be told that our room had been upgraded to one of the bungalows on check in and were then given a tour of the whole property. The bungalow accommodation was great with everything we needed. The highlight of...

Thanks Dave for your review of the glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge. It was a pity you only had such a short time here but hopefully you will be back again one day for a longer stay. The birds are amazing here and breakfast on the Train Carriage balcony is a good way to start the day. Kind Regards, Jenny

We stayed for 2 nights in a wonderful renovated old train carriage. It was a unique experience to sleep in the train carriage with all the odd bird songs surrounding you. Thanks for your review of our lovely Ecolodge. I'm glad you enjoyed your Train Carriage. Unfortunately the dust and insects are part of being next to the National Forest. No matter how much we clean they come back very quickly. Kind Regards, Jenny

Seriously one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Jenny was so welcoming as soon as we got there and gave us a quick tour of the grounds. The room was spacious enough and clean. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of a National Heritage treasure, the Glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge offers a unique ecological experience of this fascinating area of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in South East Queensland. It makes a fantastic base from which to explore the 26 million year old volcanic plugs that make up this incredible landscape, as well as the coastal beaches and hinterland villages. During your stay at the Ecolodge (set on 5 acres of orchard and forest beside a small creek) you can discover bush tucker, enjoy nocturnal frog spotting and bird watching (over 60 different types of birds have been seen). A great place to relax and unwind in this peaceful and quiet nature haven with its birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and even kangaroos. National park walks start 400 metres from the front entrance. Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo is just 10 minutes away and the Ecolodge is only an hour north of Brisbane. ... more   less
