What a magical place! We had a very happy time exploring the woods, discovering the swings, watching and listening to wildlife and enjoying evenings around the fire pit. Charlotte was very friendly and helpful, and was absolutely up to speed with Covid 19 requirements from flexible booking arrangements to spotlessly clean accommodation, which made us all feel safe and welcome. The barn is lovely, with all we needed for a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Thank you, Charlotte!

Thank you very much for choosing to come and stay with us here in Wales. Thank you also for taking the time to write such kind words in this review. We do our very best to make sure all our visitors can relax and unwind especially now as Lockdown eases. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness is of course very important. It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. Diolch! Charlotte

We have enjoyed our stay at Old Oak Barn enormously. The accommodation has been generously furnished with lots of lovely touches such as book and games for children and adults. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine as well as everything you might need to prepare a meal (sharp knives too!). We enjoyed fresh eggs and vegetables while we were there and got to pick plenty of blackberries from the woodland.
The highlight for us was the vast amount of space the children were able to enjoy: They loved wandering up the lane to check on the cows and sheep; they will treasure the memory of the newborn calf; they loved heading off to play on the many swings. Thank you Charlotte and Jerry for your hospitality.

Old Oak Barn is a lovely holiday location for any age. Having been coming since I was 7, there is an abundance of beautiful scenery and locations for all to enjoy. The old Cabin in the woods, now swing and seating area, provides entertainment and enjoyment for all ages. With the new addition of the barbecue area, providing ample views across the countryside for all. Old Oak Barn is situated in a perfect location for visiting the beautiful beaches and attractions. Myself and my friend (17yo) enjoying a fun filled day at Oakwood, the local theme park, as well as a relaxing day at Tenby Beach, with both the family and pooch. Charlotte and her husband, are both welcoming and lovely hosts, ensuring that your every need is catered for. They provide fresh eggs from their chickens and locally sourced logs for the fire pits and barbecues. Both Charlotte and her partner also offer a tour of the wood and farmland in the back of the truck, to all visitors - Something I hugely look forward to each time I visit. Our family visits to Old Oak Barn are trips that I greatly enjoy and look forward to each time we visit. I can not reccomend this amazing location enough and can't wait for our next visit.

Your review was a surprise and worth waiting for as it was nearly a year ago you and your family came to stay. With lockdown of course we have had no visitors recently apart from the NHS staff. I am very pleased you have such positive memories of your childhood holidays here Alyssa! You have written a lovely review which I was so thrilled to receive. Thank you! Warmest wishes and stay safe. Charlotte and Jerry :)

What an idyllic spot Old Oak Barn is; lovely woodlands, a stream, sheep, chickens and swings everywhere! We had a really lovely week here in September with our 2 daughters, our 3 year old was happy just to run between the swings, visit the fairy house and the mud kitchen, she had to be persuaded to leave the house every day!
Charlotte was so kind and especially attentive to aforementioned 3 year old who got to visit the chickens and the sheep, the fresh eggs from the chickens were delicious.
This is such a lovely, peaceful place and was a refreshing break for us all. Everyday since returning we have been asked by our daughter 'When are we going back to Charlotte's house?' In the not too distant future, I hope.
Diolch Charlotte.

Thankyou for taking the time to write such a kind and positive review of your recent stay here. The weather was wonderful for you all and I did notice your little one loved the swings here - it was a delight to hear her singing to herself while she played. Do come back one day! You would all be very welcome. Have a good winter in the big city and most of all I wish you all good health. Warm wishes from us all at Old Oak Barn.

I rarely write reviews but I was so delighted by the week we had at the beautiful Old Oak Barn that I really wanted to join the chorus of praise. I've never stayed at a nicer place or with more helpful, friendly owners. Equipped with all you might need and beautifully maintained we felt very safe from covid. We woke to birdsong and could step straight out into woodland which conveyed the impression of a proper wild wood to explore though it is in fact sensitively managed with an eye to conservation. Though we did not have our grandchildren with us we were impressed by the attention that had been given to providing exciting opportunities for children to explore and exercise their imaginations.
We had no need need to make use of the TV/ DVD as a stroll in the woods or a chat around the fire pit was enough after a day exploring the beaches within a short drive of the barn There was ample provision of games for guests if we had felt the need.
Charlotte was a mine of local information and couldn't t have been more helpful This extended to showing us around the woodland walks and her own colourful garden. If you love gardens you will find a soulmate in Charlotte, though she seems to be interested in all her guests and ready to provide for a variety of interests. Always keen to help but without being intrusive, she is a delight. We felt we had gained a friend.

Your words are very kind and generous - thank you Paul and family. You saw the garden here during June in beautiful sunshine when I bet every garden looks lovely. It was a delight having you to stay here - seeing our visitors appreciate the woods is a tonic for us but hearing you say you felt very safe from Covid is wonderful praise indeed. Hope to see you next year. Best wishes for the rest of the summer from Charlotte :)

This was our fourth consecutive annual family holiday at Old Oak Barn and without a doubt the best one yet! We were spoilt rotten by our hosts (and now friends) Charlotte and Jerry who pulled out all the stops to give us a wonderful holiday.
The barn is spacious yet very cosy and comfortable, and we were greeted with fresh flowers and produce. The setting is delightful, very peaceful and our children love it here. They like to spend time outdoors, playing in the little stream or on the swings, helping to feed the chickens or check on the sheep.
We barely strayed from the farm this year, but for those who like more activities and attractions there's plenty going on nearby. The children's playground at nearby Meidrim has provided much entertainment for our children, and we do like to visit Laugharne and the beach at Pendine. Folly Farm was a real favourite when our children were younger, and the pretty seaside town of Tenby is fun if you like a bit more hustle and bustle.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our holidays at Old Oak Barn and made some wonderful memories there.

This was our third visit to Old Oak Barn and as usual we had a fabulous time. It’s a prefect place to recharge the batteries and completely unwind. It was wonderful waking up to birdsong each morning. The barn is very comfy, bright and airy and fully self contained with all the mod cons. The gardens and surrounding woodlands are beautiful - it’s lovely to take an evening walk in the wood. There’s loads to do in the area from a visit to Carmarthen, Tenby, Narbeth for a stroll round the shops or a trip to some of the amazing beaches for a walk or paddle. Charlotte is an amazing host and will help with anything you need or advise on restaurants etc of which there are many amazing ones!! Thanks again Charlotte - we will be back! 😀

We had a wonderful stay with our three young children at the Old Oak Barn. It could not have been more perfect- spotlessly clean, beautiful walks and wildlife. Charlotte and Jerry were so welcoming and thoughtful; they were really kind and friendly. Our boys were delighted to go in the back of the truck to check the sheep and have a tour of the tractors.
The little touches made it a really special stay- the fresh flowers and eggs on arrival through to the extensive selection of toys. The children adored playing in the stream and discovering the swings.
Having a BBQ and roasting marshmallows was a hit! Sitting out on the patio by the fire pit became a nightly ritual!
Thank you Charlotte and Jerry for a truly memorable holiday.

Our first stay at Old Oak Barn. Couldn't have had a better experience. Hosts were very welcoming with fresh flowers and eggs from their own chickens. The Barn was very comfortable and felt like a home from home. The quietest night sleep we have ever had. We will definitely be returning next year and we've already recommended to family and friends.

This was our 2nd visit to Old Oak Barn and we loved it just as much as our first. It’s a magic combination of ingredients that makes for such a special stay. Charlotte and Jerry are incredibly warm, welcoming hosts who clearly relish sharing their patch of Carmarthenshire with visitors. The barn itself is big, light filled, comfy and brilliantly well equipped (including an abundance of toys and games for the children). And the setting is idyllic with woods to explore, a stream to play in, new born lambs to discover, tractor rides and a chorus of birds as your backdrop.
I can give Old Oak Barn no higher praise than the fact that our 2 boys (aged 5 and 7) ask to just stay put and explore when we visit. Everything that they love in a holiday is right there. And that makes for happy family times.
Thankyou Charlotte and Jerry. We very much hope to be back in 2023!
