It's one of those places that you pass by on your way somewhere else, so I was curious. I decided to add it to my photography road trip itinerary. Right away after I reserved I got a message with some tips on staying there, where to eat and such, which was very thoughtful. Mike and Dorothy just took over the... More

This was history.... Loved the room, and having drinks with the Innkeepers on the deck overlooking the Thompson River. They have put their hearts into this inn and it shows and you can feel it. This will always be a stop for us.

We fell in love with this hotel ( an authentic hotel from gold rush days) but being modernised as I write. Dorothy and Mile are amazing hosts...nothing too much problem, full of information and very hard working. More like a bed and breakfast home than a hotel.Guests tend to talk to each other. We are bird lovers and I was... More

Following an absolutely fun and fantastic raft ride down the Thompson River with Hyak River Rafting in Lytton (a highlight of our summer), my partner and I decided to stay the night at this Inn at nearby Spences Bridge. Upon check in, the recent new owners (Mike and Dorothy) gave us a warm welcome, and Mike shared some history of... More

Was playing the Desert Daze Festival was staying at the regional campground down the road and after a Friday evening there were musicians staying there from the festival so decided to meet up and pick some tunes. Was a nice quiet evening with music on the back deck and owners were very appreciative and kind. Went back next morning cause... More

The hotel's new owners are friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in preserving this historic place. In addition, they took us swimming in the Nicola river and told us how to hike to a nearby waterfall. Watching the trains pass and the Thomson river from the patio was a memorable experience.

The new owners seemed to be a bit taken aback by our large & loud party occupying many of the rooms. "What am I going to do with all these people?" I overheard her whisper as we took over the flower-bedecked patio overlooking the Thompson River, taking turns ogling the osprey family nesting next door through a spotting scope. Whatever... More

For the 2nd time in past year, stayed at Inn at Spences Bridge in the Granny Smith room. Road trip weekend with my daughter and enjoyed the amazing scenery in the area and hospitality at the Inn. It's clean and tidy and you will feel at home. Park yourself on the patio and look out to the Thompson River, the... More

The owner Ray claims that this is the oldest gold rush hotel in BC, so character abounds throughout. The room was fine and the bathroom particularly nice. There are no mod cons in the room, so it's down to the lounge to watch TV, chat to other guests, or be regaled by stories about the bat who flies around the... More

If you ever find yourself travelling up Trans Canada #1 or Highway 12 to Merritt, BC; stop at Spencer's Bridge to smell the best air around. In summer the wheat grass mixes with frsh waterfall water and clean mountain air breezes. This forgotten about town is so awesome ramshackle as this hotel is also is its unique beauty. Easy going...
