Tom's and Douglas's Barns are two romantic cottages for two in the beautiful Peak District. Both Tom's Barn - which welcomes dogs - and Douglas's Barn are luxury 5 Star & Gold Award self-catering cottages, ideal for solo travellers or couples. You'll enjoy 21st century comfort and warmth in 18th century ancient limestone cowsheds, attached to the owners’ home in the peaceful White Peak village of Parwich. Next to open countryside – with walks in every direction – the generously equipped cottages are secluded and peaceful, yet only a shortish stroll from the village pub and shop. There is much to see and do nearby: the countryside is stunning, Chatsworth is nearby and also Dovedale, the famous beauty spot. There are plenty of good local pubs and restaurants to enjoy.

We stayed in Douglas Barn which was perfect. The owners were flexible with our late notice booking change and generous with it. We were warmly welcomed and shown around and immediately felt at home. It’s not just self-catering, all the little things were covered from fantastic

We have stayed before many times in this cottage and it has always been excellent in every respect . When it changed hands we thought we would leave it for a while , to allow the new owners to settle in. We also wondered whether it would be possible to maintain the standards set

Spent the Bank Holiday weekend at Tom’s Barn in Parwich and have loved every minute of it. The accommodation is exceptional and in a lovely area-so peaceful! An easy drive to walks at Dovedale, Ilam and Tissington. I so hope we get to go back.

It was lovely to meet you at Christmas and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. It is beautifully situated for enjoying the countryside but then we are a little biased. We hope to see you here in the future on a return visit.

Douglas Barn was designed several years ago in such a way that it has remained thoroughly modern and up to date. This year we came with the intention of taking all of our meals in house. The kitchen is so well stocked that food preparation is easily undertaken. One can choose

Hi there, Could you recommend any dog-friendly restaurants near Tom's Barn?
The Sycamore in Parwich village a 10ins walk is dog friendly. A short car journey will take you to Bentley Brook, the Coach and Horses and for something a bit different The George at Alstonefield and the Duncombe Arms at Elastone. Plenty of dog friendly places to go
