We have just returned after a weekend at Uppermoor Farm and what a wonderful time we have had. We arrived at the house and were greeted by Val, the head housekeeper as Jan and Edward were on a well deserved holiday. We had a lovely tour where Val outlined all of the COVID safe precautions they are taking (sanitiser in each room, individual hand towels, clearing/stripping your own beds, stuff washed in Dettol etc)

From the word go (1.5 years ago!), Jan was wonderful. Trying to organise a hen do is stressful at best of times, but throw in COVID and gov guidelines and you have enough to blow your mind. Jan worked her socks off organising and reorganising dates. I just can’t thank her enough. We had two hot tubs and Jan worked her wonders with this, organising with Tim when to drop off/collect. Two can easily fit in the yard.

We ended up coming over the bank holiday weekend and Jan even added the Coach House barn complimentary to ensure that we had enough room.

There is more than enough crockery and cutlery in the house, and you want for nothing. Tea pots, cups, saucers - I mean it: Jan has it all.

An absolutely wonderful stay. I can’t wait to return.

We stayed over a long weekend in the Lighthouse Barn and Coach House. The accommodation is stunning, opening up onto miles of rolling hills and no one in sight. Everything was spotless and had everything we needed. The kitchens are very well stocked, beds extremely comfortable and everything you would need for BBQs, bit dinners and outside space for games/relaxing.

I had communicated mainly with Jan, who has been fantastic in providing information from the start, was very accommodating and keeping us in the loop about changes, the local area, how to order food deliveries, check in etc. On the day, Val showed me around and was fantastic, friendly and helpful. You're in safe hands! There were some tweaks to make sure everything was "Covid-safe" but these were communicated well in advance and didn't impact our experience.

Couldn't have asked for a better location and hosts. Would love to come back again soon!

We hired the beautiful lighthouse barn for our first ever Breathe retreat. The venue did not disappoint. From the minute myself and my retreat partner came to look at the barn we fell in love with the space.
So light and airy and the perfect venue to hold our first ever retreat.
The space was exactly what we hoped for which allowed all our guests to share the communal living area but there was plenty of space for those that wanted to just curl up in the corner with a book or sit in front of the window and draw the spectacular views from the arch window.
Jan has been so helpful with all the organisation with bedroom layouts and has been on hand via email throughout to answer any of my questions.
The housekeeper Val who greeted us when we arrived was warm and welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know.
I can not recommend this place enough. We loved it but more importantly our retreat guests loved it and we will absolutely be holding another retreat here in future perhaps in the summer so we can make use of the outdoor space too. Thank you so much. Claire & Ali (Breathe Retreats)

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. From the word go Jan was incredibly helpful, thoughtful and accommodating. She helped us find a way to make our celebration possible whilst adhering to COVID guidelines, even providing us with extra accommodation to allow for ample space. She has been on hand every step of the way to answer questions and make us feel fully looked after. We were greeted by the lovely housekeeper Val who made us feel incredibly welcome and well informed.
We stayed in the Lighthouse Barn with the addition of the Coach House both venues are stunning both inside and out. The large patio area outside the Lighthouse Barn provides beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the large grassed area is perfect for games. Inside all bedrooms are immaculate, with very comfortable beds and lovely en suites. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with plenty of storage space. The living area in the Lighthouse Barn is huge and absolutely stunning. It provided ample space for everyone and was perfect for all the activities we had planned. Nobody could believe that all that space was just for us!
This venue was absolutely perfect and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything that was put in place to make our celebration possible. I cannot wait to return!

The most amazing house with stunning views! It really was everything we could wish for. I booked the house for my 30th Birthday celebration there was 20 off us all together and everybody had an amazing time. Every room was absolutely spotless with the added touch of all rooms except two having their own en suite. From booking Jan was great with us and answered any questions we had. She told us about local takeaways and also gave us a reliable hot tub number so we could rent a hot tub at the house. Thank you Jan and Ed for a fabulous weekend we wills definitely be back in the future.

We hired Uppermoor Farmhouse for a three generational Christmas celebration. Arriving on a misty Friday evening we had the excitement of driving up the long private road framed by sapplings and grassland, anticipation rising. We were not disappointed. Jan had placed beautiful big white cyclamens in strategic places to welcome guests. It was a perfect temperature, all bed rooms had their own bathrooms and there were Peak District views from the windows. The internal layout was perfect for us, the ample well laid out kitchen with breakfast bar great for the grandchild and family. Lots of worktops and an intuitive layout. We catered for 24 very comfortably using the Marshalls range & gas cooker. All mods & cons and friendly Jan is nearby if anything needs sorting.

We had a wonderful 2 day Hen Party celebration for 17 people. The barn is perfect for this type of occasion and was exactly as described. We were greeted by a very welcoming housekeeper who was extremely helpful throughout the visit. The property was beautifully clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is perfect with stunning views and great walks from your doorstep. Overall a really wonderful experience and one I would definitely recommend. We will be back again hopefully before too long.

We recently spent two nights at Uppermore Farmhouse in order to celebrate a family birthday. Due to Covid 19 restrictions only 6 people could attend, but the Farmhouse was large enough for us to enjoy ourselves while socially distancing and we all felt very safe during this difficult time. We are really grateful to the staff who made sure everything was sanitised and safe when we arrived.
The property is superb and the standard of equipment provided is more than adequate. There are amazing views across beautiful farmland and the property is very close to the High Peak Trail. The owners have thought of everything.
