We didn't use their accommodation but did eat in the cafe out front. A good variety menu and very friendly service. Even sell jaffles which takes me back to the 70s. The menu is affordable. It's not fine dining but the provide a very pleasant place to eat.

We had high hopes based on the very vocal majority of TA reviews and the friendly lady that I spoke with on the phone before heading down to Uluwatu. Unfortunately what we found was less than disappointing. The room is not particularly good value at 200k. It’s definitely at the lower end of backpacker, not really bad but just simply...

The gong is the best. The ladies that work here make your stay so good, they organise good and taxis for you, and are real helpful with guests. The cleaner is also a legend. The vibe here is awesome and relaxed with a real nice living area. Get the banana smoothie

We stayed here for two nights and would definitely stay here again. The family is very friendly and helpful and there was a really relaxing atmosphere. The backyard was a beautiful place to hang around and the shakes were delicious. Tip: The kitchen on the other side of the road was one of the best restaurants we're we have been...

Everything about the property is perfect, you can clearly tell the family takes great care of the land. We stayed in the top story of the three story building which had a breathtaking view. We...

So my two best friends and I spent 40 days in Uluwatu and just returned to California last week. We stayed primarily at The Gong, and all I can say is it felt like home. The staff– an amazing local family with two little girls you will fall in love with– was extremely friendly and helpful, with everything from directions...

I was there last july to spend a night. I had booked three months in advanced and when I arrived they have let my room to someone who was going to be more days. I took a taxi from the airport to go specifically there. You can trust them. That´s not good.

Clean rooms (the more 'expensive' ones are the nicest), nice swimming pool, good food and super friendly staff. The Gong made me stay longer than I'd expected and I even came back. Really like this place which is loved by solo travellers/surfers. I'll be back again!

We only stayed one night at the Gong, but it had a great atmosphere from the friendly staff to beautiful grounds and pool. You could tell that other guests loved this spot and the majority of people we talked to were staying for an extended amount of time (greater than a week) or had returned back to it. The room...
