Lovely drive winding up to TJ Ranch resort tucked into the jungle highlands. Warmly greeted by hosts Tony and Joan/Juanita, shown to a comfy casita followed by an amazing (I should have taken pictures) seafood dinner prepared by Tony....and it went on like that for days! Waking to birds and jungle sounds, hot morning coffee ready and time walking grounds...

Our family of 4 stayed in the green casita. Our children loved it. They swam in the pool and enjoyed the coqui frogs at night. It was so peaceful. It is not an easy place to find so you must get there before dark every night which means you get to enjoy Tony's great cooking. The food was delicious and...

For the traveler who loves nature, quiet, getting away from it all, and yet a little bit of "being catered to", this is the place! You're in the rain forest but with HOT water/showers, flushing toilets, cozy beds, beautiful swimming pool, and hot meals served whenever you tell them you'd like them to be served. Tony and Juanita are good...

TJ Ranch hospitality is the finest in nature's purest form. Tucked in the rain forest outside Lago dos Bocas, the ranch is surrounded by lush vegetation in a peaceful, tranquil environment. The grounds and "casita" where we stayed were immaculately maintained. The cabin had a very comfortable bed and great bathroom facilities. Sleeping there among the forest's animal inhabitants was...

We never make reservations in advance and when planning our next few days at a restaurant in Isabela, Puerto Rico we met the son and his friend having dinner at a table next to ours. Always wanting to chat with fellow tourists or locals we found out his parents ran a B and B/hacienda in what turned out to be...

Here are the most memorable highlights of my stay at TJ Ranch: 1) Sleeping in the screened casitas with open windows listening the sounds of coqui frogs and screech owls. It’s a little like being in an African tented camp--without lions roaring outside, of course. 2) Delicious and tasty meals served in an open air dining facility with views of...

We recently stayed at TJ Ranch for a couple days on a recent visit to Puerto Rico. We were ready to leave the very touristy area of San Juan and enjoy the contrast that a visit to a mountainous area provides. Upon arrival, we immediately felt relaxed and began to soak up the beautiful sights and sounds that this area...

Fascinating place, excellent food (by all means, try the octopus with the creole sauce!). Very, very nice hosts. If you are looking for a nice retreat, look no further. I don't remember sleeping this well in a very, very long time. Enough said.

I have been a frequent guest at TJ Ranch and I am always excited to go back. From my first visit years ago I had the impression of staying with old friends. I don't have enough words to describe Tony's and Juanita's hospitality. Tony is a superb chef and Juanita is the perfect hostess. This is the best place to...

The food delicioso. The hospitality fantastico. The grounds beautiful. If you like to experience a true Puertorrican Casa de Campo (farm)look no further this is the place for you to stay. Accomodations are confortable and clean. If you want to get away this is the place to go with no tv and wifi in your room. Juanita and Tony are...
