We had a great stay at Prince Hotel. We had been to a cheaper place before and walked straight out as it was disgusting for the price. We arrived to a very warm welcome at Prince from the whole family. We stayed in the standard bungalow which was nice and big, yes it was a bit run down, but it...

We stayed in the Prince Hotel for two nights. We had booked a standard 30USD room online, but decided to upgrade to one of the newer cottages for 50USD per night. However, that was just preference: the cheaper rooms looked quite good as well. Our larger room was very spacious, with two large beds (so four people could sleep here...

Arrived late at night but the welcoming party was still waiting. Found out later from other late or early (5am) arrivals due to unpredictable bus timetables that there is always someone there to let you in. A light meal was offered and happily accepted, wow, it was feast! Sat and had a cold beer with the owners who were more...

Checked in here for $30 per night after reading the positive TA reviews (the lonely planet says it's "rustic") hoping for the best. It's probably one of the dirtiest hotels I've seen in myanmar. The bungalows have paper thin walls where you can hear everyone talking. The walls are covered in dirt and mould. The bathroom is all broken. The...

Arrived around 11:00 am after a pleasant 4 hour boat trip from Sittwe. I had made our reservation well in advance (fully paid) so the check-in process was quick. Our room was rustic - twin beds, single blanket, mosquito net. It can get cool at night & in the morning so do bring something warm. There appears to be a...

There are very few budget places to stay in Mrauk U. Prince Hotel was a great option; we paid $30 a night for a very spacious and comfortable double room. The only negatives about the room itself was that the shower was never hot, only lukewarm, and the noise, especially at night. Situated off the main road into and through...

This is family resort with main building (dormitory) and bungalows located in big tropical garden. Breakfasts are served outside at long tables. The owner, young businesswoman is amazing person who could arrange everything you need. You can rent bicycle and transfer from / to Sittwe by car. Cheaper bungalows are not modern, but clean, with local craft and specific atmosphere....

The Prince is currently renovating and doing a fabulous job. It is easy to see the owners vision for the rooms and the gardens. He has an eye for the style of the people who inhabit that region. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the owner is a gem. If you get the opportunity to chat him, do so,...
