Wonderful, relaxing hotel night away before Christmas. Very impressed with the welcome and meal. The room was spacious , clean and quiet even though there was a wedding party staying. We will return for a longer spa weekend as we didn’t manage to book the treatments this time. The refurbishment looks amazing , a great asset for the hotel.
After having to rearrange our wedding that was due to be abroad, Mottram Hall could not have given us a better weekend. The service was amazing from start to finish with such a warm welcome and can do attitude. Our guests could not comment enough on how fabulous the food was and how they had gone the extra mile to ensure everyone felt comfortable and safe. The following day we enjoyed the beautiful new spa, which I cannot wait to enjoy again once restrictions are lifted! Mottram will always hold a special place in our hearts and we cannot thank everyone enough for the part they played in our special day.
I cannot wax more lyrical about this resort. Which i had the great pleasure to stay at in December the room was clean, first class in its presentation and felt very safe from the dreaded COVID. I had the opportunity to use the new spa facilities which were very special indeed and my partner being a big spa user on a national basis felt that her treatment was probaly one of the best she had experienced. Dinner was a delight with a great variety of fresh and local sourced dishes. During dinner we had the wonderful GM Dee come and say hello she was great fun and a credit to her hotel. Also Joe was on hand in the bar to make me a great martini prior to dinner. On leaving the hotel Ella checked me out and was outstanding in giving us some places to visit in the local especially the local farm shop. Cant wait to get back and going to bring some friends next time.…
We went for afternoon tea for two, £50 my wife had a medium glass of white wine, £11. Now if it was good and offered something different you might argue that it was worth it. But it's not, very standard fare indeed. No extras just a three tier offering of small thin cut sandwiches, a selection of small cakes and a two scones. A pot of tea and that's your lot, for £61. We were in and out in 45 minutes which tells you that there is not much on offer. No atmosphere as there was just one other couple in the room. Despite this service was slow. Just left feeling that we had been ripped off, that was a lot of money for a very poor experience.
After booking a suite for a home emergency I expected a small and antiquated room after staying here before. The room was below my expectations, cracked bathroom a room from the 1930s and doubt the linen has been changed since then. In the current climate acceptance is key. When I tried to order a cheese sandwich and chips at 930pm and after an hour on hold for someone to say this wasn’t available was the final Insult. Hotel has all the stars and atmosphere of faulty towers. Would never stay here again.
