Just one nights stay as we was attending a family party down the road and could not fault it.

3 adults stayed in a family room which consisted of 1 douuble bed and 2 single pull out beds. The room was spacious however the bathroom was small but this was not a issue. Extra pillows was available in the room, kettle with teas and coffees and plenty towels.
The room was nice and clean only fault was that the shower curtain was absolutely filthy and defintely needed a replacement.
Location was perfect as very close to the town centre, brand new resturant opened up next door, marshalls yard opposite, tesco and lidil supermarkets under 5 minutes walk.
Prices for parking is very reasonable, I believe 6.50 for 24 hours however it is free after 6pm monday-saturday.
Defintely nothing I can fault about my stay.

Great hotel at a great price (even being booked a week in advance during the summer holidays!)
Our family room was clean & comfortable. Face masks to be worn in the communal areas.
* Don’t forget to pack your own hairdryer (like I did)
We arrived after 6pm when parking is free. At 8am you get 1 hour free once you enter your registration number into the machine, pay online or using the RingGo app. This worked out the cheapest parking method for us as we were out between 9am-6pm, but you could pay a parking permit from the Travelodge reception for £6.50 for 24 hours.
WiFi - 30 minutes free a day and then £3 thereafter, however we found the 4G signal to be pretty good for us all to stream videos etc on more than device at the same time. Despite having a room which looked over a fairly busy crossroads outside & above a restaurant, there was zero (road) noise at all! The hotel has air conditioning in the rooms which was a bonus! The only thing that could be improved for me would be to have the windows cleaned externally, it would make a huge improvement for future guests.

We enjoyed dinner at Prezzo in Marshall’s Yard across the street on night & bought pastries for breakfast from Lidl next door. 2nd night we went to McDonalds which is next door to Lidl (5 mins walk down the street) and bought sandwiches from M&S Foodhall in Marshall’s Yard & Lincolnshire sausage rolls from a local bakery on the nearby market square for lunch for our day out.

The purpose of our stay was to visit ‘Sundown Adventureland’ near Retford (Notts) for the day - it was a 20 minute (11 mile) drive from the hotel. We would highly recommend if you have children under 10 years old! We had a blast despite it being a very wet August day! (good old British summer weather!)

If we were to visit this area again, we would rebook this hotel.

Easy to check in, the building is modern with nice views from clean rooms. The building is wheelchair accessible too with lifts available and the staff are welcoming staff with easy check out procedure. The rooms are comfortable as well with thermostats to change the temperature. There are no fridge/microwaves provided, however.

The manager was rude and unaccomodating. Well he said he was the manager although a suited female clearly superior member of staff was giving him jobs to do before she left for the day.

We were travelling with a child in wheelchair, and 2 of the party also on the Autistic Spectrum. I asked for 2 sets of keys for the 2 rooms so that if needed we could access the rooms where the other half of the family were staying (room next door) if needed quickly. This was refused and I was told this was ILLEGAL (rubbish, my wife is a hotel receptionist).

It's also illegal to discriminate against the disabled and to refuse reasonable adjustments. He became argumentative and at one point tried to throw us out because we dare disagree with him or point out that every single Travelodge we've ever been to has been happy to do so.

It's a clean place, food is close by but the bar underneath the hotel is rough and noisy and yobs loiter by the entrance to the hotel. It doesn't feel safe and neither did I feel my car was.

Overall if you like a lively pub in the same block and just need a room its OK. If not I would say avoid like the plague.

But don't dare disagree with the bloke on the front desk he's argumentative, lacking in service and will try to get rid of you if you dare question his authority or knowledge. If you have special needs it's simply awful go elsewhere.

Hotel room was spotless, bed was very comfy with extra pillows & there was no noise from the traffic below. Sharon on reception at check in was super friendly and helpful and it was the best welcome we have had at a Travelodge. Only reason for 4 stars is the parking, which is council owned & outside of Travelodge control. Charges start at 8am and although the first hour is free, you have to display a ticket before 8am.
Thoroughly recommend the hotel though.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting family nearby. Our room was lovely and clean. The Travelodge is in a central location, and has friendly staff. There's a vending machine at reception for any emergency snacks or drinks you might want in the night. Parking was free after 6pm on Saturday evening until Monday morning (otherwise it's £6.50 for 24 hours). I'd highly recommend Travelodge Gainsborough as a place to stay.

Our holiday at the Travelodge was fantastic due to the fact that the room we had was beautiful. There was no noise and the place was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Beth who kept our room very clean and tidy. She always supplied us with fresh towels everyday and kept us with a good supply of tea and coffee. The room was very spacious and the bed was very good and we had a good nights sleep. The air conditioning was also very good in the room. The outside of the building and reception area were neat and tidy. The price of the room for our 8 day stay was very reasonable and I would recommend that anyone looking for a room should check Travelodge first as they are an excellent company and look after you well.

On arrival we were greeted with a really welcoming smile. Parking was sorted quickly, and a bargain at £6.50 for 24 hrs, immediately outside reception. We asked for extra tea bags and a supply was delivered personally by the staff to our room within 10 minutes. Our room was spotlessly clean and the hotel was in excellent condition, compared to other Tlodges we have stayed in.

Also, when exploring Gainsborough later in the afternoon, and looking a tad bewildered about directions, the lady who greeted us at reception recognised us and pointed us helpfully in the right direction.

Been here before. Inexpensive, low quality stay. No cleaning or new towels or linen unless you specifically ask for it. This good for the environment!
No restaurant or breakfast as standard. You can buy a small breakfast box for 5.50£. The box contains corn flakes, milk, flapjack, pain au chocolate and juice and a small napkin. High amount of carbs and no vegan option.
The air-conditioning in the rooms is very good however brings a certain amount of noice with it. I had no issues falling asleep whilst the ac was on.
There is a vending machine in the lobby where you can pay for some water, sodas, crisps, candy or facemasks.

Dont get room 103, 203, 303, 403 as theyre all small rooms near the lift landing. Plus the windows have bars on the them, really bad design makes the small room feel like a PRISON cell. The bathroom was the smallest in any Travelodge that I've stayed in and I use 1-2 per week throughout the UK. Never again will I stay at Gainsborough.
