We came here for the weekend. We were positively surprised how nice this place is. It's directly at the lagoon. From the room's verandah you can watch the kite surfers in the afternoon - I enjoyed that very much. There is also a nice couch on the verandah which was perfect to read my book. The room is very nicely decorated. A huge bed with mosquito net, AC, kettle and safe. Drinking water was provided in glass bottles which were refilled. No plastic bottles! I loved that. The bathroom is huge and half open, really nicely done. Everything was clean. We enjoyed all our meals at the hotel. You just have a chat with the cook about what you would like to have and he will cook it - everything was delicious. The swimming pool is very nice too with some relaxing chairs around it. There is a common area which is also beautifully furnished. As seen on the photos there is also a cabin out in the lagoon where you can sit and enjoy the view or watch the fish. So if you come as a group there are nice places to hang out together. They have kayaks which you can use for free. You can walk along the lagoon during low tide. The hotel is reached on dirt roads. There is absolutely no traffic there so it is very quiet. The beach is some distance away and due to the bad road it took us by car about 20 minutes. Walking would probably be 40 minutes. The beach is also very nice and worth walking along. As the lagoon is only separated by a small sand bar from the sea there is no room there to have a road or houses - which makes it beautiful. So yes, Kalpitiya is worth a visit and this hotel is a real gem.

Breath taking view attached to the Lagoon and Sea with individual chalets with an authentic Sri Lankan culture and history. Food sumptuous made even more better with courteous and prompt service by staff make the stay much more worthwhile and memorable. Quick Access to Dolphin and Whale watching and close proximity to St Anne’s Church is worth mention.

I must say for a boutique hotel, the room we’re well pointed and clean, the food was exceptional, very flavourful and well plated. The staff were very friendly. The view breathtaking and such a tranquil location. Only downside to the property was the approach road, Google was happy to guide us to the location without us getting lost, but the road surface was to be desired.
All in all, it was a very picturesque and serene location for 4 friend to catch up.
Thanks to the staff for a job well done

This place was picked by us from nowhere. Just a random check on booking.com and a sudden decision made by our colleagues. The first impression supprised us was the unique amazing interior. It was extraordinary. Mr.JAY the manager and his staff was very friendly very corporative. They just made our day by offering best hospitality ❤️.if you're looking for silence and calm I guarantee this is the best place to be. On the way to Colombo Mr.Jay had the courtesy to check if we had already reached our destination and that showed his ability of building PR with his customers. Altogether for us though it was one night, we enjoyed the max and this place is highly recommended for fellas who's traveling to Kalpitiya. Forgot to mention, Villa setha wadi is surrounded by a beautiful lagoon. People who love kite surfing and rowing boat riding it's just hip hop and a jump from the hotel...

These two past days in Setha Wadi were wonderful. It has astonishing views, the staff is not only friendly but extremely helpful, they always make sure that everything was perfect for us. The pool surrounded by Tree Palms and the views to the lagoon make you feel you are in the paradise. Also, kayak is available to go from the hotel to the beach and spend there a wonderful time. The food there was so tasty and delicious.

Villa Setha Wadi has become our favorite place to stay in Kalpitya.
The small resort and the rooms are carefully designed to retain some classic Sri Lankan style with all modern amenities. A very versatile cook creates wonderful meals.
The situation directly on the lagoon is perfect for watersports and excursions.
A nice pool overlooking the Lagoon allows for perfect relaxation.

A beautiful, peaceful haven of quiet and calm, perfect to rest, relax and recharge. Food is fantastic, service is friendly and very efficient, the views are to die for. Rooms are large, spacious and airy, washrooms are also very spacious. The salt water pool is nice to lounge in. The Dolphin and whale watching tour we undertook was organised by the hotel and very nice.

We absolutely loved our stay at sethawadi villa ! Everybody working here was amazing, super caring and helpful !
In March it was very quiet and perfect for relaxing! We stayed for 7 nights and we ate dinner here every night which was delicious.
The pool is clean. If you like water sports it's close to the kite spot and you can take their kayaks for a ride !
All in all we loved it and can highly recommend sethawadi villa !

A warm welcoming upon arrival. But due to a misunderstanding we were unable to stay unfortunately. The manager, Sam, was very understanding and didn’t charge us. Kitesurfers you’ll love this place! Room with great airconditioning when it is very hot, outside terrace, lounge and pool looked inviting.
