We stayed at Elements for 4 nights in a beach villa. Our first holiday to Sri Lanka with a 2 year old. All our communications with the hotel's manager before our arrival were prompt and very helpful. Samitha arranged a pick up from the airport and also booked a kite surfing course for me. I fell in love with the villa s giant hammock and the whole setting. This is real nature. One of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. The villa is spacious ,arranged on three levels and there is a lovely outdoor jungle shower. This is an eco resort. There are no plastic bottles or any unnecessary junk. But you have everything you need inc a small fridge and a kettle. The night time at the villa was unique as it was really important to keep your mosquito net properly sealed so that insects do not come into your bed. The donkeys that roam the fields around the villas can sometimes be noisy but we got used to them, they were part of the experience. It was a wonderful detox from modern world's cognitive noise and distraction. There was food WiFi at the restaurant and lounge area. The fact that the price included dinner was very welcomed as there aren't many options for dining in the area. Every night the meal was delicious and we would like to thank Roy (chef) who proudly told me that he has 22years of experience in hotel catering. All the staff was smiley, polite and helpful. We soon got to meet most of the hotel residents and there was a lot of mingling in the chill out lounge. The babies and children were all happy playing on the sandy floor of the restaurant or running around at the chill out lounge. The sea was beautiful and the sand white and soft. The hotel has an advantageous spot for kite surfing and I really enjoyed all my lessons. The story of how the owners started this resort and their ethics behind it is very interesting. This is a must place to visit in Sri lanka and I am hoping to come back again for some more kite surfing!
PS:
Tip: go for the beach villa if you can best view and closest to the sea

A wonderful eco resort with very little plastic. All the accommodation has been thoughtfully designed to reduce the need for air con - my chalet style room had little air gaps to allow a cool breeze to flow through.

The food was tasty and healthy. It was beautifully cooked. I recommend the prawns and pasta.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend booking the airport pick up through the hotel (our driver stopped for a lovely authentic Sri Lankan breakfast on the way which really hit the spot).

I also recommend that you book the dolphin watching (we saw loads) and the safari. We didn't see a leopard but maybe next time!

A beautiful resort on the seaside and laguna. With palm trees around, the constant wind, it’s an ideal soothing location to relax, enjoy the nature, go whale watching, and do water-sports, including kitesurfing as the resort has its own kite school. I was humbled by the kindness of the owners Marcel and Sylvie, as well by the constant smiles of their staff always attentive to the customers needs. It’s also COVID free, all guests are tested upon arrival, respecting safe distances in the COVID free bubble of the resort. I felt very safe. I also enjoyed the food cooked by the chef Ray which was delicious! A unique experience!

What an amazing location, the sea on one side and the lagoon on the other! From dolphin watching to a variety of lagoon activities such as stand up paddling and kayaking, Elements was a home away from home for our family. Samith was an attentive manager from the time of booking throughout the stay. We enjoyed the warm hospitality of Ranga and Suranjan at the restaurant at all times of the day! 7 am or 7pm, their energy and warm smiles and attentive service is noteworthy and made are time their extra special. Lakshan helped us with our lagoon activities, always so friendly.

The lagoon villa was breathtaking! Waking up to the birds chirping and being able to sit at the deck and relax and enjoy the view was indeed special. The kids loved their private nook upstairs for their beds and the outdoor shower area was refreshing to see and experience. We loved seeing the donkeys roaming freely around.
The meals were always fresh and delicious.we would highly recommend Elements for a unique stay , surrounded by nature.

You feel so connected with nature here. On some mornings when I opened the doors of our bungalow, there was a donkey family right nearby our lounge deck and I would just sit there for a moment and watch them peacefully graze.

The resorts location right next to a lagoon and the open sea is one of a kind and with all that space around your bungalow you can enjoy a lot of calm and privacy. And if you’re looking for some action, there is so much to see and do within or around the elements premises in addition to kitesurfing: an ox carriage ride to the nearby village, horseback riding on the beach or the dolphin watching tour, where my husband and son got to see schools of spinner dolphins jumping out of the water.

The friendly and charming staff is from the surrounding villages and their good team spirit was noticeable to us every day.

And the food! The chefs really went above and beyond with their creations, every breakfast and dinner felt like a surprise. It was always local and fresh and always wonderfully tasty. And one morning even with a twist from the oven: freshly baked chocolate croissants!

There is so much heart put into this wonderful place, it really feels like home away from home!

We stayed at Elements for two nights and everything was absolutely marvelous! From the surroundings to the rooms, the activities and the wildlife within the resort, we enjoyed every moment of our stay! Mor than anything, the kindness of the staff, the attention to detail and the story behind the creation of Elements were what made our stay even more enjoyable.
We stayed in a beach villa and enjoy the closeness with nature, waking up to the sound of the ocean, the birds and the donkeys playing around...it felt like staying in an adult treehouse with all the comfort of a resort!
As non-kitesurfers, we still had plenty of experiences available: SUP on the lagoon, bike ride around town or swim in the pool overlooking the dance of the kites! The resort itself holds many surprises and I wish we had more time to spend in all the cozy and relaxing areas created all around.
In the end, it was really hard to leave this little piece of heaven and we will definitely be back!

We travelled a lot during the last years and have seen many places, also during our six week trip throughout Sri Lanka. For the last days we stayed at Elements Beach & Nature Resort and we just loved it! The bungalows are large, cool designed and look very new. We had the Beach villa which goes easy for 4 person (we had it for the two of us) with hughe bathroom, comortable bed with perfect moscitonet and a wonderful sunset terrass at the upper floor. Very clean and due to the semiopen construction ideal ventilated in the night.
The resort is located on a large ground, lots of space between the bungalows/villas, in front of the ocean or lagoon with privat beach. The sea was calm in the morning, perfect for swimming and the wind in the afternoon was great for kitesurfing. They have all equipment for rent and if needed also good instructors.
Nice little restaurant with very good international and local food. Some nights they do a barbeque with fresh tuna - just heaven.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer dolphinwatching with own motorboat. We saw over 100 dolphins just about 3 kilometers from beach. Awesome experience! Diving is also offered, on a nearby reef. Ideal location also for a Safari at Wilpattu National park.
Owned by a swiss pilot who lives in Colombo and managed by Samith the local host who will satisfy every wish....
Thanks a lot to all of you guys, we will happily come again!
Bruno & Jacqueline

We loved this place! Amazing relaxed staff, animals, sea, nature, accommodation and the best food we had in Sri Lanka which is saying a lot! The staff went so out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Be aware the sun burns through clouds!!!! Plus service charge is added to everything so if you book airport transfer or dolphin watching you need to know it will be 10% more. I would have much preferred it if dolphin trip was more respectful to the animals rather than driving straight at them over and over again when they were clearly hunting. The dolphin trip did not include any information about the nature or dolphins and would be reassuring to get a receipt for the ”wild life ticket” which is supposed to be included.

Exceptional eco friendly resort, created after the inspiration of a pioneering group of friends, comfortable and very stylish. Luxury lies within simplicity in this case, I believe this statement pretty much sums it up. The real experience, however, is the genuinely friendly and cordial vibes by everyone who spends even one night.
