It was a really good luck for us to meet this place and it's staff! It is the truest dream palace, not just a simple guest house. We had big room with high ceiling and a balcony. There was a lot of space inside the room and all around this building. Hot water, air conditioner, safe box, little wardrobe and big clothes rack helped us to feel comfortly. Shampoo, soap for body and for hands, welcome drink such as fruit juice cocktail met us as soon as we step inside. Staff who works there are the family and they provided nice breakfasts with real Sri-lankan taste of tea and of hoppers. We can recommend Dream Palace like a cozy nest near the beach. It's important that all you need is in 5minutes walking, including supermarket and wine store. Have a nice stay. Thanks a lot for atmosphere of home!

Great hotel! Everything you need to relax or spend your time without problems. Comfortable and bright rooms, helpful managers, perfect location, what else do you need during your vacation or for remote work? The rooms have air conditioning, a refrigerator, a safe for money and documents, a wardrobe (very important when you don’t want to store things in a suitcase), a clothes hanger, a hairdryer, always fresh and clean towels and bed sheets. They clean rooms every two days. Also, the hotel has a beautiful rooftop with stunning ocean views and tables to work in front of the ocean. The hotel has unlimited free Wi-Fi. They have a generator to run during power cuts. It's about 30 seconds walk to the ocean, the nearest store is across the street. Very good price per room. Despite the proximity of the ocean - no dampness or mold, no unpleasant smell. My verdict is the best place in Mirissa.

Room Tip: Rooms close to the rooftop have really nice balcony, but low floors rooms are easier to ladder on :)

The hotel is located one minute walk to the sea, in a very good position. It is a very large building with generous space close to everything. What I liked was the cleanliness and hospitality. The rooms are large, very clean and nothing is missing. They have a refrigerator, a kettle and even a safe. Bath towels are provided, as well as beach towels. in the bathroom there is a hair dryer, liquid soap and shampoo at your discretion. The water is hot. The air conditioning works well. For the price paid, I was expecting something of poor quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in more expensive hotels and did not have this comfort. Congratulations to the owners. I gladly recommend and will be back for sure

Great experience from start to finish.
We came to Sri Lanka as digital nomads, but everywhere except Dream Palace the internet was not good enough to work.

The internet here is fast up to 20mbs, good enough for video calls.

They have a power generator and are really resourceful. We were here during the oil prices hike and while most places struggled to get fuel for the generators, these guys always managed to keep electricity, AC and internet on. There were small interruptions for a minute or so sometimes, but it was manageable.

Dream palace is really clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to help you arrange trips, you can order cleaning whenever you need, towels smell great (in some “hotels” that was a real issue), AC is new and smells nice, it’s pretty quiet, no problems with noise at night despite being next to the road. 100m to the beach.

The hotel restaurant was not open due to covid when we were here, but there are more than enough places within 100m, so no issue with that.

We’re gonna surely miss this place. It felt like home for the 2 weeks we spent here.

We loved staying here. The owners were so lovely. The breakfast was DELICIOUS but my recommendation would be to provide less food (I know it sounds strange but it was was a lot!). You can choose between traditional breakfast including hoppers (highly recommend - like a crispy crepe in the shape of a cup) or a Western breakfast. There's tea and coffee. There's cake. There's juice. There's yoghurt. If you're not a big eater, tell them in advance! Check in and out was very easy. The price was great. The walk to the beach was extremely short. There are many nice bars and restaurants nearby, right along the water. Highly recommend staying here. It was the best!

We stayed here for 4 nights. I have never seen more helpful and caring receptionist. He helped us with laundry, trips, transport and was always ready to give us any advice. The hotel has great location near the beach (1 minute walk), restaurants, grocery store and souvenir shops. The bus stop is also in front of the hotel. You can buy water in the hotel for the same price as in the grocery store, which is a great benefit. Rooms were clean and the AC was working just fine. There was also mosquito net. I can't think of better accommodation ❤️

No sea view from the rooms, the guest house is set back from the sea (60 m away). There is a North Indian Tandoori restaurant just 100m from Dream Palace GH in Mirissa

Hi Wendy, we stayed in dream palace in feb 2015. It is a small family run guesthouse so they do not provide food and lodging for a driver. They are a great place to stay though - a 2 minute walk to the beach!! Rooms are clean and comfortable.
