It was such a joy to stay in this beautiful guest house. It is immaculately clean, well appointed and every detail has been considered. There are beach bags and towels available, fresh flowers in the room, drinking water at a very reasonable price The breakfast was amazing - definitely the best I had on my travels. The monkeys outside were an added bonus for me. Bon Accord was conveniently located for Coral Beach and the Secret Beach and was the best value place I stayed.

We only stayed for 2 nights as we came to Mirissa for whale watching, but wish we could have stayed longer. Situated between the beach and the harbour in a peaceful setting. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, aircon worked really well and had everything you need. The owner Prassad is the reason we wish we could have stayed longer, he is the most wonderful host who takes pride in taking care of his guests. He has thought of everything, from having umbrella's, walking sticks, hats, torches and beach towels for you to use to having an honesty box to purchase water. A cold towel was given to us upon our arrival and was much appreciated, also smelt divine. The breakfast was amazing, all homemade and the dishes just kept on coming, you won't leave hungry. If I ever go back to Mirissa I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thank you Prassad 😊

We had a wonderful three nights at the guest house. Prasad is the most caring and thoughtful host you could ever ask for. From the moment that we arrived some hours earlier than expected he rushed to clean the room and let us in early. Whilst we waited he provided refreshments and an ice cold flannel.

The room was lovely. It had air con, a ceiling fan safety deposit box, a powerful hot shower, mop for cleaning the wet room floor , lamp in case of blackout, mosquito net and best of all a lovely balcony with great wildlife. We sat on here a lot as once the morning sun had moved off it was really pleasant. It was possible to order tea to have in the room. Prasad cleaned and changed the bedding daily. It is the cleanest accommodation that we stayed in. There were also complimentary beach towels and a beach bag, with replacements available for a small cost. Water was also available for a small cost.

The breakfast was large and delicious. Prasad was keen to provide tasty authentic Sri Lankan food. There was real variety and it was different every day.

Prasad was also keen to talk about his family history and that of Mirissa, aided by wonderful old photographs on his walls.

Overall we would highly recommend this accomodation.

This is the best guesthouse we stayed in throughout our travels in Asia. The host, Prasad, is an example of hospitality at its best. He goes above and beyond for his guests, providing them with a history of Mirissa, helping with transport to next destination, walking them to the boat on the whale watching tour to ensure for the best seat, and making beautiful flower arrangements every day to put in a lady’s hair or around her neck. The room is beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding - a feast and the best we had in any homestay. We were so sad to leave and have found ourselves always comparing other guest houses to this one. Thank you Prasad, we will return!

We were lucky to find availability at this amazing place and we were over the moon with everything.
Prasad is real gentleman who certainly has an eye for detail. The location is perfect in Mirissa, quiet but convenient for the beach and town. Everything is super clean including fresh flowers in the room. We stayed for 7 nights and every breakfast was different and outstanding, prepared fresh daily. Prasad gave us a chance to try different foods and fully explained what we were eating.
The allocation of beach towels was a big plus.
He was always available to answer questions and give information to help us when needed.
Make sure you book in advance, this has been our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka.
Well done Prasad.

The highlight of this stay is the host, Prasad who has thought of everything to make your stay extra comfortable and goes above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. The breakfasts were fantastic. We have been in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and his breakfasts were by far the best- each day we had something new and even a lot of things we had never eaten before! I have coeliac disease and Prasad went out of his way to cater to my gluten free diet even buying special ingredients to make food typically containing wheat gluten free. Would recommend this stay!

Very comfortable and cozy accommodation in a central but quiet location in close proximity to the beach (<1 minute). The host was one of the most kind and attentive people we met on this journey so far. The service and breakfast are top notch. Unsurprisingly, we greatly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return one day.

We came to Bon Accord as a part of our honeymoon trip. Keith and Prasad are so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and house are spotless, breakfast is wonderful and you get to try home made Sri Lankan fare. They were happy to help us book trips, made good suggestions for restaurants and we had some lovely tea and chats. I wish we could have stayed longer! I'd highly recommended this fantastic B&B to anyone.

Accolades to Keith and Prasad for a fantastic homestay! Everything was superb from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were given an overall orientation to the area, restaurants and attractions. The room was clean (cleaned daily too) and nicely decorated with flowers. Thanks to Prasad for the daily flower garlands too!
Now, we have to chime in on the other reviews about the amazing breakfasts. Each day was different with Sri Lankan dishes, juices and fruits. They made it a point to introduce the guests to the flavors of Sri Lanka. We skipped lunch because we were always so full.
Overall, we loved our short visit here! Next time we’ll have to stay longer.

Hi the quickest and easiest way from the airport is with a private car and driver, the journey is about two and a half hours. This can be arranged by Bon Accord if you contact us. 0777 976 552 mobile. Or by bus which is not too difficult, take bus to Colombo Fort and from there to Matara, but get off in Mirissa. I hope this is of some help. Whale watching is best from November to May. Rgds Keith
